Scratch was designed by Andrew Smith in 1995. It looks as thought many fine lines were drawn next to and over each other with a felt-tipped pen. ITC Eastwood is the work of British designer Martin Archer and is named for Clint Eastwood. Archer was looking for a plain oldstyle typeface with open lower case forms and used Stempel Garamond as his starting point, although the result ended up well beyond its origins. In small point sizes the typeface looks interestingly rough while at display sizes it looks like a 16th century French typeface and its unique details come forward.

Mind Boggle was made during the renovation of our fixer upper farm house. We had to demolish an old annexe (because it was unsafe) and it caused us some stress, as one wrong movement of the excavator would mean at least a partial collapse of our home… Luckily the driver was a pro and it was mind boggling to see what he could do with a huge machine like that. Mind Boggling? Ah! Check! Mind Boggle is a handmade, all caps, headline font. It is a bit wobbly in places, but it comes with loads of character. The dotty style comes with thousands of hand made dots. They’re not perfect, they’re not even round, but they are unique!

Simpliciter Sans is a typeface based on the lettering used in the 20th century on technical drawings, either written by free hand or using templates. The lettering was made with a round pen, therefore all lines got rounded ends. All lines had the same thickness in uppercase, lowercase and small caps. The upright style was used on construction drawings and the italic style on machine drawings. The backslant style was used on maps for names of water bodies — seas, lakes, rivers etc. — and for water depth. Simpliciter Sans is primarily intended for texts on drawings, diagrams, charts and maps, but it can also be used for signs and labels. ITC Vino Bianco was created by German designer Jochen Schuss. He drew his inspiration from the handwriting of the waiter in his favorite local pub, especially the form of the capital Q. Based on this one character Schuss developed the entire alphabet. The figures are sketchy and generous and look as though they were written on paper with a ball point pen. Vino Bianco is an alphabet of capital letters, each of which also has an alternative form, making it very flexible and true to the tendency of true handwriting. In spite of its fine strokes, the overall look is open and light due to the large amount of space each character occupies. The Addressograph machines stamped out dog-tag-like plates that were used to print mailing labels at high volume.
