dT Jakob started as a revival by Gustavo Soares for Paul van der Laan’s class at the Type and Media Masters, in The Hague, NL – back in 2007. There are quite a few excellent geometric sans typefaces available, but we did want to make our contribution and have a fine geometric face to offer. dT Jakob was born out of Erbar, by Jakob Erbar, one of the very first geometric sans, released in metal around 1926. Our goal was to make a versatile typeface, that handles display and text typography beautifully. On October 12th 1976 a new basilica was inaugurated in honor and in gratitude to the Patron Saint, the Virgin of Guadalupe, loved by the Mexican people. This basilica was designed by the Mexican architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez (died on April 16th 2012). It stands out by its hug spacious interior, generously decorated with bronze elements. The aesthetic value of these items even includes many signs and text inscriptions in a particular typeface and style, of which this font is a reinterpretation. The purpose of this project is to revival this eclesiastical written letter forms in bronze and taking them to digital format. I was inspired to this on my last trip to Mexico in September of 2012.

Coleface was created by the British typographer Roy Cole, completed shortly before his death in 2012. It comprises six fonts: Coleface 30, 60, 90 and the italics 33, 66, 99. My Left Hand is exactly what it is...well, not my actual flesh-and-blood left hand but my actual handwriting, and I know that it really is My Left Hand because people tell me all the time, "You're left-handed!" When I hear people say that, it always reassures me that I am left-handed, in case I am ever doubtful about it. Five of the last eight U.S. presidents have been left-handed, so we're in good company, no matter which political party you're a fan of. First of all, let me get one thing straight: With Janky Action, I didn’t make any attempt on making a beautiful or good looking font! Janky Action is my humble attempt to recreate a sign I saw at a flea market. The sign was obviously made by someone who didn’t give a darn about the width of strokes, height of letters, and other “rules” when making a sign. I fell in love with the naive approach on how to make a sign. In order to create some randomness, I have added 4 different versions of each lowercase letter. I hope you find this font as enjoyable as I did while making it! :)

The Modesto Text Family is text in name only. It’s called Text because it has a Lower Case, and also to distinguish it from the rest of the Modesto clan. Modesto is a loose-knit family based on a signpainters lettering style popular in the late-19th and early-20th centuries. It evolved from the lettering I used for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baily Circus Logo. The Modesto family was not planned. It just happened, a few fonts at a time over about fifteen years. When I created Face Your Fears some years ago, it was an instant hit. I have seen it on Gangsta Rap albums, metal albums, books and on movie posters. It has been used for T-shirts, websites and, believe it or not, for a beer label as well. I have always toyed with the idea of redoing the original font, as some of the glyphs were a bit off. Face Your Fears II is similar in nature to the original font, but comes with a lot of improvements, has slightly altered glyphs and (probably) better kerning. But maybe, just maybe, it isn't your cup o' tea. In that case, you can always just go for the original!

If your looking for a vintage animated typestyle that still feels current today, you've just found it! Mushmouth PB started as a digitization of a film typeface called "Albert" by LetterGraphics. This all capitals font has a super subtle bounce and a playful heavy weight. An extruded film variation of this typeface was used back in the day on Post's Frosted Rice Krinkles cereal. Named in tribute to the original font name "Albert", we picked a fellow member of Fat Albert's gang for the name of this font. The English stone carver, artist, and typographer Eric Gill conceived the Joanna typeface as a personal design for use in books printed at his Joanna Press."" Gill saw his press work there as a continuation of the British Arts and Crafts Movement, pioneered in the 19th Century by William Morris. Konya is a signature script-style font with a very luxurious look. It can look very soft and very firm in an elegant frame, high but not too towering, and flat but not too low. I loved this monster font the second I saw it - it reminded me of Franquins Idées Noires... Reworking it and adding the missing glyphs and diacritics was quite time-consuming - but a lot of fun! Lots of details. The Lupineless variant is Lupine with eyes, decorations and stray hairs removed - which leaves just a very usable fuzzy font for your monster-related headline. Homelessfonts is an initiative by the Arrels foundation to support, raise awareness and bring some dignity to the life of homeless people in Barcelona Spain. Each of the fonts was carefully digitized from the handwriting of different homeless people who agreed to participate in this initiative. MyFonts is pleased to donate all revenue from the sales of Homelessfonts to the Arrels foundation in support of their mission to provide the homeless people in Barcelona with a path to independence with accommodations, food, social and health care. Loraine was born in London. She was an ordinary, hardworking family person, with nothing to worry about beyond paying the rent at the end of the month or keeping the fridge full. Until in 2009 she came to Barcelona on holiday. Soon after she arrived her passport was stolen from her and she had a series of problems with the British embassy. Somebody had made illegal use of her passport. So Loraine found herself in a strange place, unable to get home.
