Freundschafts-Antiqua AR is based on a 20th-century German type design. Freundschafts-Antiqua (which was also called Chinesische Antiqua) was designed by the Chinese calligrapher Yü Bing-nan when he was a student at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst at Leipzig in 1960. It was cast in 1964 by VEB Typoart, Dresden, in 9-pt and 28-pt (Didot). The design combines the best German traditions with the Chinese bamboo pen. It is a unique, wholly modern, yet quiet and dignified typeface which is well suited for text-setting in many sizes. The original design was carefully crafted with all non-kerning letters (none of the letters overhangs its side-bearings); the lower-case f was designed so that no ligatures were needed. The AR fonts include the type's ch and ck logotypes, monetary signs and all the standard accents. The letterfit of the original design is retained and, as can be seen in the attached printable .pdf, text composed at normal sizes is very agreeable indeed. Freundschafts-Kursiv AR A features old-style (non-lining) figures and 'kerning' letters; Freundschafts-Kursiv AR B contains lining (cap-height) figures and all non-kerning letters following the original design of the face.

Sevigne [sey-vee-nyey] is a highly refined, contemporary geometric stencil, inspired by the ambience of high-end fashion and luxury combined with the raw, utilitarian nature of the stencil. The inclusion of over 130 unique ligatures expand it’s sensibility of alluring, well-balanced letterforms and distinctive style. The stencil marks are atypically placed and vary throughout, giving it a purposely forward presence. In March 2011, the Society of Typographic Aficionados began organizing a collaborative project that would unite the typographic and design communities. The goal of Font Aid V: Made for Japan was to raise funds to expedite relief efforts after the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Nearly 300 contributors from 45 countries sent in over 500 glyphs in a single week. Behind the scenes, volunteers Neil Summerour, Silas Dilworth, Delve Withrington, and Grant Hutchinson were up to their elbows in Adobe Illustrator and Fontlab assembling the typeface. The sheer number of submissions coupled with the complexity of some of the designs caused unforeseen delays in completing the typeface. The team not only managed the immense influx of submissions, it also had several technical hurdles and multiple content reviews to mitigate before the final font could be produced. Several months after the project was initiated, Font Aid V: Made for Japan was finally ready for distribution. With the help of Sogo Japan, all proceeds from sales of this typeface will be delivered directly to organizations in Japan, such as Second Hand and AMDA International (Association of Medical Doctors of Asia). Sogo Japan strives to help circumvent regular international charity channels and the inefficiencies associated with them. Momotarō is a Japanese legend about a boy who came to earth inside a giant peach. He was found by a childless woman and grew up to be a hero. I'm in a Japanese mood - mainly because lately I have been working with brushes and ink a lot. Momotaro font is a very detailed brush font. It doesn't come with a hero inside a giant peach, but it does give your design work that extra oomph, ahh and wow.

Gain and reverb is a awesome raw typeface. Basicly its a serif hand drawn typeface. Inspired by the gain and reverb sound of a guitar and a rock band. It has a little bit rebellion vibe and a handmade touch on the characters. A round was added to a neat straight line to express a soft sensibility. It is a neat and flexible font using a clean and stable type of module.

That Stuff JNL is a collection of twenty-six images ranging from a stop sign to a peace sign... from a daisy to some 35 mm slides... from smiley and unhappy faces to a rubber stamp and a prize ribbon... A little bit of this and that for the creative designer.

A Public Secret (or Open Secret) is something that is widely known, although it is not supposed to be. Public Secret is a hand drawn font (I used a fineliner) that I made in between building a shower, a toilet and a laundry room… Yes, it’s all in a day’s work! ;-)

For Vega antikva, too, 16th and 17th century typefaces stood models. I made a free interpretation of them, with a nice result, if I am allowed to express myself. Vega antikva makes a beautiful impression in books, but even as a web typeface it behaves well. The name Vega can be traced down to a constellation, a mathematician, a writer, a movie character, or a research ship, as you like. Now there is a typeface with that name, too. Vega antikva was released in 1994.

Opticart is a family of glyphs inspired by Op Art (Optical Art). They include 133 models -- each letter is a subfamily that can combine overlapping (A, a, a.salt and A.swsh) and thus generate more than 365 glyphs, or thousands if we combine different letters or symbols. Opticart is so easy to use, user does not need guidance, just repeat typing [aaaa, bbbb, etc.] or do overlap them and repeat [(a + A) (a + A) (a + A), etc.] You may overlay and combine shapes with colors as you please.

Notes And Quotes is a font duo that includes a bold typewriter font and a casual script font. I bought a pair of green gumboots (or Wellingtons) the other day. I have a little wilderness outside and it is quite muddy, so I thought a pair of boots would be a good buy. Gumboots is a handmade comic font. It comes in a regular and a fat style and you can use it for just about anything that needs a bit of comic relief.
