This family was created -- inspired from the engraved typeface (Two styles : Normal & Italic) used in the pack of 52 playing cards who was describing the 52 counties forming a small Atlas of England and Wales and depicting English roads for the first time, published by Sir Robert Morden in 1676. Our OTF and TTF versions are covering Western, Eastern and Central European languages (including Celtic), Baltic and Turkish, containing historical and standard ligatures plus specific Old English abbreviations. Tiza is a rough take on informal faces and handwriting, brought on by the recent demand for scripts and brush lettering. Its flow leaves traces simulating runny pen ink, which makes it very suitable for handwriting-like paragraphs as well as casual greeting card and invitation setting. The bold weight, Tiza Negra, fits very nicely on book covers as well as large signs. Tiza is the proverbial reminder that typefaces can sometimes be more human than they are normally perceived. Usually I prefer desserts that aren't overly sweet, but a week ago I lost my sense of tasting - due to Corona, and when I wanted something sweet...I preferred it overly sweet...of course because I hardly could taste the overwhelming sweetness! But now, I have my sense of tasting (and smelling!) back, and everything is back to normal. And since I completed this easy-recipe-inspired handmade font while suffering from Corona, I thought I'd name it Overly Sweet. And...well. because, the font is somewhat overly sweet (without being over the top sweet!)

I present you Trečiokas typeface. This two font family is based on written letters that were sketched by using paint markers and afterwards pollished digitally. Glyphs mostly are connected, leaving some separate, as a contrast to round and soft letter shapes. It includes extended latin character set. In 2013 I made the Aerofont project, which included custom music instruments that were made based on Trečiokas Normal letter shapes. We have created this family from the numerous derivatives in use for newspapers since the middle of the 1800s to the 1970s, inspired by the well known Clarendon. Mainly, the patterns are those used to print Le Petit Journal, a popular French Newspaper of the era (published from 1863 to 1937). The present version contains Normal, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic styles, in two sub families: 1906 French News for texts and titlings with upper and lower case, and 1906 French News Caps (Caps, small caps, small numerals, for texts and titlings).

Banret is built using simple geometric shapes. It is mostly the result of my experiments on the other font I made earlier in 2016, called Inventor. Font is inspired by old fonts of the beginning of the 20th century. Capital letters are built with one to four proportions. The font has four weights: normal, and bold, and two alternatives: ribbon, and flag. As far as it is a decorative font, it is not designed for large amounts of text. But it is perfect for creating branding elements, logos, slogans and posters.

It started in 2007 with Chennai, the first of a three-part series of sans that I envisioned with slab serif counterparts. Each font would differ from the others in how the stem terminals were expressed. The initial font was extremely well received, and a revitalized and remastered Chennai made its appearance two years later, complete with new weights and new, novel OpenType features. Then came Madurai, a variation of Chennai based on the same core, only without the rounded stems. Chennai’s rounded stems made it distinctive and great for headlines but left it lacking appeal as copy--a problem that Madurai easily solved. And now comes Sangli, the final iteration of my original 2007 vision. Sangli is a happy medium. Like Chennai, it’s great for headlines--but not too distinct for copy. Sangli keeps the same core structure as the other two, but new less sharp forms give this latest font a friendlier look that’s more versatile than the original Chennai and less formal than Madurai. The font includes a whole range of six weights from light to black, along with condensed and extended options as well for a total of 54 fonts. There are plenty of OpenType features, including small caps. Alternates include normalized capitals and lowercase letters that include stems for when you want a more traditional look or when you’re writing copy. Sangli also supports over 70 languages that use the extended Latin script. Use Chennai, Madurai, and their slab serif variants interchangeably with Sangli, too, for even more options in your work. All three complement one another well. So when you need a balanced font that stands boldly on the page and commands your reader’s attention, look within and find your Sangli.

Very thin fluid strokes and high speed letters form this casual script entitled TCF Plana. Hodgepodge is a confused mixture of letters that somehow work together. While I know this has been done before I create fonts that I need. And I occasionally have found a need for this. And it was not there, so now it is. There is a mixture of light and dark, bold and regular, caps and lower case but not where you would expect them to be. Since this is a headline font you can set the headline and then easily go back and change a letter here or there to get the best-looking combination. Hodgepodge was in the 2011 Typodarium Page-A-Day Calendar on 7-17-2011.

I love honey - as a dessert or just as a quick snack. I didn’t really like it as a kid, but I guess that is just a result of people changes taste as time goes. I also love letters and notes - and that I also loved as a kid! And the Honey Burst font is a tribute to people to likes to take notes, and those who likes their letters being legible, but not focusing on height, width and position according to the other letters.
