Koning transports high-contrast sans serifs into the present. Koning is the Dutch for king. Given the design’s elegance, this name should come as no surprise. It has been recognized with numerous awards: TDC Certificate of Typographic Excellence and Award of Excellence from Communication Arts both in 2018, and Gold from German Design Awards in 2020.

Woolwich is a jolly fine display font, named after a district in south-east London. Woolwich, somewhat inspired by Futura condensed, was completely made by hand and comes in a clean and an eroded version. It is highly legible and will certainly make your designs stand out. Woolwich speaks a lot of languages, including the language of doodles.

Cat Fight is small decorative font family containing two "weights". An image of an antique metal marking stencil [circa late 1890s or early 1900s] reading “Folck’s Roller Mills #196 New Surprise manufactured by Wolfe Brothers, Cumberland, MD” had the words “New Surprise” rendered in a Western/Victorian typeface. Flicka is a super funky font that oozes of fun and games. Every single letter has got it's personality of its own! It’s surprising - it can take more time and effort to make something deliberately and artfully imperfect than it does to make a more conventional design. We certainly found this to be the case when designing ‘SpeedSketch’. Perhaps a more accurate name would have been ‘SlowDraw’ but that wouldn’t really capture the essence of the finished design.

It is a future-forward take on the computer system typefaces of the mid- to late-20th century—when computers began to rise in usability and integrate into all art forms. Working best as a display font, the Trionik family features 4 separate styles with varying widths.

Lunisolar, according to the dictionary, means “of or caused by both the sun and the moon”. I liked the name, therefore I used it! Lunisolar is quite an interesting font: it is fat(tish) and rough, very neat and legible. It could be used for product packaging, book covers and starships. Comes with an abundance of diacritics.

In his book Victorian Display Alphabets, Dan X. Solo called this specimen "Marquette". This unicase version features a complete character set, and is named after a favorite watering hole in Texas on the Guadeloupe River. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 (Latin) and Unicode 1250 (Central European) character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

The cover of the sheet music for the 1910 song “We’ve kept the Golden Rule” features a hand lettered and slightly spurred Art Nouveau type style. As an older couple was pictured below the song’s title, this inspired the name Golden Years JNL for the digital font, which is available in both regular and oblique version.

The original name for Ambigue was “Confidence”. This font family received the first prize at the German Kurt Christians-Foerderpreis in 1997/98. Its interpolated weights offer a subtle differentiation in the grey levels. A special “Small” weight is available that offers better readability in very small sizes. The work was supported by Professor Jovica Veljovic.
