Come into the boudoir. This simple hand-drawn sans tries to invoke the same feelings as its name - and not to be overluscious. Boudoir is sweet and sensual like women, but it’s at the same time uncluttered and masculinely straightforward. The font borrows some playful capital shapes from the all caps Baronessa and draws inspiration for others from old classics. Thanks to the bolder weights, it can also be used in smaller sizes, you can combine different weights for different sizes to obtain a more balanced look, or you can just give emphasis using different weights.

Dare is a bold, single-weight titling font in capitals only. It is built from flat-pen strokes, with looping bowls and sharp, incised darts. It borrows a pinch of the hand-drawn swagger of Bauer's Cartoon (designed in 1936 by H. A. Trafton), used as Dan Dare's signature logo in the British boy's comic Eagle, and also the upward-pointing serifs of machine-moderne typefaces such as Dynamo (designed by K. Sommer for Ludwig & Mayer in 1930). My 7 year old son is reading a book called ‘Spees De Ruimtewees’ (Spees, the Galactic Orphan), so when I needed a name for this font family, I didn’t have to think a lot! Flying Saucer is a family of 2 fonts: a rough(ish) sans serif and a script font. Both fonts come with Italics. Use Flying Saucer for anything space related (or whatever you feel like using it for).

As a present, my sister in law Christel Marseille-Hoksbergen created a hand-sewn alphabet which I liked so much, I decided to turn it into a font and this is the result. It's a loose, free, easy to read sans, so when my wife suggested Buddy, it clicked. This is the 2-font Buddy Slender family of Regular & Bold. This time the font's name is meaningless. Maduki doesn't mean 'cool' in Swahili, nor does it mean 'cup cake' in Sranantongo. It is just a nice name. Maduki is a playful font, created with one of my 2 year old son's marker pens (the 'no stain, wash-out' variety), a couple of cups of coffee and a whole bunch of 'speculaas' cookies. Now you're wondering what speculaas is, right? I'll tell you later - in a couple of fonts... Anyway, there's not much meaningful to say about Maduki font. It is nice, it is cute and it comes with alternates!

Unisketch is an homage to my favorite font Univers when I was at design college. Univers is a neo grotesk font by famous Swiss typeface designer Adrian Frutiger. Unisketch, with its worn, misaligned and slightly tilted characters, still retains some of the qualities that workhorse body copy requires: It is legible at small sizes and produces a compact ‘Schriftbild’.

Soapy Feelings is my slightly rough-edged handmade fantasy (or perhaps even fairytale) font. I've added several swashes, which can be used for both starting and endings of words. I've also added 4 slightly different versions of each letter (and they automatically cycle as you type!) and lastly, of course Soapy Feelings has multilingual support! Caps Only Fonts

I love creating fairytale fonts, but for some reason I haven’t made one for quite a while. So, without further ado, I present Griezelig! Griezelig in Dutch means ‘scary’ or ‘creepy’. The word itself even looks kind of creepy! Griezelig was loosely based on two of my favourite (but unfortunately rather inconspicuous) fonts called Hexenhammer and Bronwen.

AdieuTwo is a radical revision of Adieu which was a revision of my original font, Chivalry, that was traced from Chevalier back in the mid-1990s. Its roots are obvious, but this one has small caps, small cap figures, oldstyle figures, ligatures, and more. This is a thoroughly up-to-date font ready to be used for stylish heads.

Drop Dead Gorgeous is a slightly slanted all caps Brush font. I made it with the last of my Chinese ink (I ordered a new batch, it should arrive tomorrow).
