This family was inspired by a font carved circa 1590 for a Polish editor. We don't know who was the punchcutter, nor the printer's name. We have added the special East European diacritics (Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian, Slovak, Slovenian, Sorbian )as the original font has only the Polish accents. It is a Garamond type, like our 1592 GLC Garamond or 1589 Humane Bordeaux, rough and a little approximate, but attractive. We recommend using OTF version with Windows Vista, providing a best compatibility.

Neon Bugler is a font based on the third logo created by Harry Warren in early 1975 for his sixth grade class newsletter, The Broadwater Bugler, at Broadwater Academy in Exmore, Virginia, on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. This font design has these principles as its parameters: The letters generally follow what would be natural stroke directions; no sharp corners, all gentle turns; no lines back up over each other, cross each other, or run into each other. All of this civility between the lines produces an unintentional but welcome neon quality about it. We cannot imagine anyone not liking beer. Especially on a warm summer night there is simply little that can top an ice cold brewski. And with the current wave of home-brewed ales and lagers, Vette Letters decided to not stay behind and brew its own brand. Just so we can design our own beer bottle label using our own font. VLNL Thueringer comes from the drawing board of Jacques Le Bailly (a.k.a. Baron von Fonthausen), the German-French specialist in the fields of both beer and type design. One day Jacques got inspired by Albrecht Dürers 15th century Fraktur (blackletter) alphabet, and decided to design a contemporary rounded version of it. Although the historic context is clearly visible, Thueringer definitely stands its own ground. It's a modern techno-style blackletter with a (beer)truckload of interesting design details. Thueringer contains a number of ligatures and an alternate set of numbers. Apart from the regular uses like logos, posters, flyers and headlines we definitely would like to see our Thueringer used on beer bottle labels and crates, but also cafés and hipster bars would do well with this modern-day blackletter. Hell, even wine or liquor labels, football team jerseys, Oktoberfest flyers, it's just too much to mention. As long as it is accompanied by a cold beer.

I named the font "Sangoma" after the traditional healers of the Southern African tribes. Sangomas often work by "throwing bones". The shapes of the bones have suggested the shapes of the characters in the Sangoma font. The font is useful for creating designs or producing text that has an African look. Typified by an African angularity the characters reflect the ethos of Africa. The Sangoma font contains the full range of upper and lower case characters, all punctuation and special characters as well as the accented characters used in the major European languages.

Tale is an experiment to convert the script-style calligraphy into bitmap format. The two variants have the same dimensions, but (as the naming suggests), Forty has double amount of pixels in it when compared to Twenty. Both variants have hand made bitmaps to compliment these correlating point sizes, and you can always get the appropriate bitmaps by multiplying by two.
