Maggot is crazy geometric display typeface. First 36 characters were designed during #36daysoftype 2021. Each letter of the typeface fits into a square composed of 49 modules. Maggot contains 112 letters - Basic Latin, Western, Central and South Eastern European diacritics. Each character that contains a mark has two versions: regular, where the mark is above or below the height of the character and alternate, where character with mark is the same height as characters without marks. Maggot is a display typeface, it works best as short inscriptions, for example on vinyl and book covers, posters, T-shirts, packaging.

After readings and reflections about the process-poem,“anti-literary” movement, contemporary of concretism, a font of simple form that could provide directions and sense of reading demanded its creation. So we have done the labor of the processual, modulate by consequence and not by option, born with autonomy and authority. The process demanded soon two things: first, to not be one more “hard to read pixelfont” used only by its creators; second, to attend to the requirements of the poem-process, not like a good daughter but like a modern and comprehensive grandchild (the generations understand themselves to the jumps).

Dezen is a contemporary, mechanical grotesque typeface. Its letters were first constructed from individual modules and then optically refined to enhance its rhythm. Its tight letter spacing and narrow proportions make the typeface particularly well suited for display sizes and headlines. When you add spacing, font can be used for shorter amount of text, bigger than 12 points. Dezen type family consists of a wide variety of styles – solid and stencils. Dezen Pro subfamily combines all 4 styles (Solid, Stencil 01, Stencil 02, Stencil 03) in a specific sequence, which originates a “pattern” for the alphabet (or dezen, in Slovak).

The Pacific Sans and the Pacific Serif originated from the Pacific Standard, a space effective type face, especially designed for poster lettering. The implementation of serif strokes in the Pacific Serif and the contrast in vertical and horizontal strokes in the Pacific Sans, gave these fonts a distinct elegance.

Eckhardt Titling JNL is another treatment of a popular typeface that lends itself well to the hand-lettered sign and display work of days past. As with other fonts in this series, it is named in honor of Jeff Levine’s good friend Albert Eckhardt, Jr. who owned Allied Signs in Miami, Florida from 1959 until his passing.

In order to create a style that merges serif and sans serif and to attemp a minimalistic final appearance, Glancias Displas removed the serifs while remaining the high-contrast strokes which are usually found in a serif font. By removing serifs and cutting stroke ends vertically and horizontally, the font has been built in a modern, sleek, neutral and also concise look. Over 400 glyphs in total including upper and lowercase characters, figures, ligatures and signs are available. Glancias Display covers Latin based languages of North and South America and most of Western Europe.

Hogar Slab, based on the Hogar typeface, is the result of combining a script and a slab serif into a single type system. The system has a monolinear style composed of a slab serif and a script slab serif version that share similar proportions, weight interpolations and details. Hogar Slab is basically a slab serif with script gestures and a script with slab serif shapes. In order to make the system more complete, I included an italic version, which represents a transition between both main styles. Additionally, I developed a set of patterns including some furniture designs by well-known architects.

Designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini with the help of Francesco Canovaro, Unigeo is an eulogy to the design style of vintage computing, with its obsession for geometric modularity, ultra-tight tracking and striped rainbow overload. It aims at giving a new perspective to the ever-useful geometric sans genre, by adding a vintage flair to selected letters while keeping optical adjustments to the minimum, to prioritize the modular, constructed look aspect of the typeface. Furthermore, like every vintage gaming system, Unigeo has been developed with different "memory versions":32, 64 and 128. The main family, Unigeo 64, is display and logo-design oriented, featuring tight tracking and iconic signature letterforms, and referencing vintage design and typefaces from the photo-lettering era. These letterforms are substituted in the Unigeo 32 variant with more contemporary shapes, resulting in a workhorse geometric sans, highly optimized for text use but still suited for logo design and display use thanks to its wide weight range. The Slatz Font Family is Vertical. It has a slender, consistent weight that is best used in limited, left to Right, space limitations as to maximize font height. Slatz font variations all have extremely clean edges and even the serif versions are crisply defined with a flat-pointed serif for an added unique character. The designed intent was for a tight kern, however evenly letterspacing these family members give a distinct personality and continues to command the negative space just as in tight kerned examples. The compatible relationship of these font family members, serif to sans serif, and regular to italic is seamless and the overall design coloring of words as sentences is well balanced and extremely legible. The Slatz Family fonts are matching members glyph to glyph yet there is a noticeable difference between the serif and sans serif members. The sans serif works in contemporary and vintage settings. The serif members work particularly well in vintage, period applications. The Bold and Drop versions of Slatz also fit the above descriptions and also work on their own.

The "Tichy" typeface is intended for use in titles, headlines and in short text blocks, like citates. However, the typeface is legible even in larger text blocks. The typeface's simple initial module (double braked at 135 degrees straight line), the strict rules of forming the letters lead to an unique typeface - masculine, strong and still legible. The Cyrillic glyphs are influenced by the work of the great Bulgarian typographers Boris Angelushev, Vassil Yonchev and Alexander Poplilov, who developed Cyrillic further in 60-s and 70-s of the XX century. Western, East European, Cyrillic, Baltic and Turkish codepages are supported. The font file contains all the basic ligatures, alternate glyphs and kern pairs. It can be used both on Windows and MacOS based computers. The history of "Tichy" typeface began many years ago with a project for logotype design for a small company. It was a kind of designer's game to try making some letters just using one single module. Development of the other glyphs of the latin alphabet was for many years a mandatory exercise for the young colleagues in our studio. Suddenly we realized that this project matured and creation of a new typeface started.

Shrag script is a brand new script from Open Window. It is finer than the model that won 35,00 friends. Originating from a fat marker drawing it's a comfortable font, fine performing in every minor detail. It is the embodiment of everything a fine handwritten script should be.

Lettering on the sheet music cover for the title song from the 1957 Marlon Brando movie "Sayonara" was the model for Pacific Island JNL. The design has an Asiatic influence, but also reflects a bit of show card lettering as well. Available in both regular and oblique versions.

Spring Fashion JNL was modeled after an example of hand lettering from an old book displayed on an online auction. Rendered in lower case only with basic punctuation, this type design was made specifically for headlines. Its light, airy personality adds charm to simple ad copy or titles.

The 1935 sheet music for Shirley Temple's "That's What I Want for Christmas" [from her 20th Century Fox film "Stowaway"] provided the hand lettered sans which became the model for Artistry JNL. A condensed block design with rounded corners, the typeface is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Stencil Board JNL is another typeface modeled from lettering made by a Diagraph stencil cutting machine. Diagraph was first to make stencil punch machines which are used both industrially and by the military. Thanks to Neil Haynes for the samples he provided from the company's machine testing department.

Retail Stencil JNL was modeled from a set of 2 inch lettering stencils manufactured during the 1980s. Although similar in design to Excess Baggage JNL, there are a number of character differences as to where the "breaks" (or division of the stencil parts of the character) are located.

Grist Mill JNL was modeled from an old wood type design and has all of the wonderful quirks that made wood type so appealing for many projects. There is minimal kerning because of the unique letter shapes, so you may wish to adjust your layout to fit your needs.

Metal Stencil JNL is a digital reconstruction of the brass stencil set used as a model for French Stencil JNL. Each character sits on its own individual 'card'. There is a limited character set consisting of letters, numbers, punctuation and a few extra glyphs including foreign currency symbols.

The model for Deco Moderne JNL was the hand lettered title on the sheet music cover of "Did You Ever See A Dream Walking" (from the 1933 Paramount musical "Sitting Pretty" starring Jack Oakie, Jack Haley and Ginger Rogers). The typeface is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Sign Stencil JNL was modeled from some vintage lettering stencils spotted in an online auction that were part of a store sign making kit. A variety of styles, sizes and designs were contained within a carrying case along with paints, brushes and instructions on how to paint attractive signs.

A vintage metal stencil from a saw mill with the term "reusable skid" was the model for Saw Mill Stencil JNL. Although the original was what would be termed a semi-stencil (some letters did not have 'breaks' in them), the font was designed with a more traditional look.

Sales Event JNL is an inline sans that was modeled from examples of old wood type. Its casual, cheerful style well suits point-of-sale signage or banners, fun headlines and relaxed themes. The font is available in both the regular inline version and the black (solid) version.
