I am shocked to my very core that the name "Tropical Punch" hasn't been used for a font yet. What a delight, that my very first name choice is available, and I can grow my collection of fonts named after delicious food and drink! Tropical Punch is a retro-tropical font with a ton of variety: I've included nearly 200 multi-letter ligatures with nesting letters, to add quirky and fun variety to all of your projects. There are also a few alternate vowels, plus a few dingbats to add jazzy pizzazz; and 10 smaller catchwords like THE, AND, WITH, and more! Veranda Poster was derived from a European art supply manufacturer’s logotype done in the Vienna (Wien) Austria style. This distinctive classic style was used by artists such as Julius Klinger and Willy Willrab in the 1920s. Many of the fonts available from Canada Type are revivals of historic brush scripts (such as Bruschetta, Coffee Script, Puma, Tiger Script). Hunter is a deserved addition to the collection. Imre Reiner's Mustang design from 1956 now enters the digital realm to continue living in this world of new typography. Hunter has a wilder streak than other brush scripts. Its irregular terminals give it an almost wooden appearance and a most natural, hand-made expression. The Bix Bats symbol family was developed in 2003 by Argentinean designer Victor Garcia to complement his display text font Bix Plain. Bix Bats contains four different symbol fonts. Most of the characters in these fonts have their lower halves reversed out. The PM Doorbuster Collection is based on retro hand-painted paper signs primarily seen in grocery stores from the 1940s through today. We meticulously hand-drew each font, modeling the spacing and uneven baseline found in vintage sign painting. The purposely organic ascenders and descenders, along with a huge set of ligatures/contextual alternates to avoid the same letters repeating when paired, give it a real hand-lettered look. Linotype Franosch™ is a three weight display typeface designed by artist/graphic designer Max Franosch. 1st Ave is the most experimental of my typefaces. I took a picture of a metal and neon sign in the East Village of New York City. These signs are slowly being replaced by LED and LCD displays, but if you look hard, you can still find quite a few in the city. The signs give a mid 20th century feel to the city. To design 1st Ave, I took a picture of the sign, scanned it and increased the contrast in Photoshop so that the photographic forms became line art. There weren't enough letterforms in the sign to create the whole alphabet, so I cut up the strokes and collaged them back together to finish the entire alphabet. Important Note: 1st Ave is an experimental typeface and is not compatible with certain software such as Microsoft Word.

Danah is a Palestinian woman who used to study with me in the same university where I was honorably introduced to her several years ago.
