Steinweiss Script began its journey towards daylight when Michael Doret was asked by Taschen Publishing to do cover lettering for the huge commemorative edition they were putting together on the work of Alex Steinweiss—“The Inventor of the Modern Album Cover”. The lettering was to be created to appear similar to the famous “Steinweiss Scrawl” the calligraphy that Steinweiss had used on countless album covers. While designing this piece of lettering, Michael realized that there was great potential for a font that was designed in the spirit of that famous “scrawl”. Through his contacts at Taschen Publishing, he was fortunate enough to be able to contact the Steinweiss family, and get the official Steinweiss approval to proceed with his “Steinweiss Script” project. Michael decided that in addition to giving the font his name as an homage, that he would donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this font to the man himself: Alex Steinweiss. Additionally, within each weight there are three variations: Simple, Fancy, and Titling. These variations relate to the size/ratio of the caps to the lowercase, the complexity of those caps, and the size of the ascenders/descenders on the lowercase characters. These variations add usefulness to the font, making it accessible not just for headlines, but for longer passages of text as well. Itacolomi is a font family conceived for editorial purposes. Based on historical models, it is well placed in the present time, turning classic proportions into contemporary letter shapes. It is robust and clean in small sizes, keeping the consistency in both print and digital environments. Itacolomi is a result of an extensive investigation into Scottish style types produced in Brazil around 1820. A possible connection between Brazil and Scotland. In short, it preserves the qualities of the famous 19th-century Scotch Roman types while adding a personal approach with unique features from the early Brazilian models. It has six weights, romans plus respective italics, which makes twelve fonts with an extensive character set that supports over two hundred languages and includes small caps, ligatures, old-style and tabular numerals.

An original script font designed by Victor Kharyk and licensed by ParaType in 2006. Based on Ukrainian Skoropis (fast handwriting) of 16-17th centuries. The font was named after Ukrainian Getman Bogdan Khmelnitsky, because the main sources and inspirations for the project were taken from collection of handwriting Universals (decrees) of that time -- the middle of 17th century. The shape of letters imitates flat nib quill handwriting with stress, bringing them informal liveliness. The Bogdan font character set contains Cyrillic, Old Slavonic , Glagolitic, Latin and Greek alphabets in two variants: Rejestrowy (Regular) and Siczowy (Alternate). The font is for use in display typography, but can work quite well for short text setting. Bogdan type is well suited for historical and cultural texts associated with Europe of 15-17th centuries

The 10th Regiment of Foot is a British military unit raised more than three centuries ago—and perhaps most famous in the U.S. for seeing action on American soil during the Revolutionary War in the Battle of Lexington and Concord and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Military Scribe is modeled after the compact, utilitarian script on the mid- to late-1770s muster rolls of the Tenth of Foot. I incorporated the work of at least three separate scribes, merging their neat old penmanship into a legible disconnected cursive. Perhaps the most versatile of all our vintage handwriting fonts, Military Scribe might faithfully reproduce antique letters, labels, lists, or just about any document of the period. So far the Creator Campotype standard version known in the form of free font (published on several websites by license: free for personal use). The font takes the basic form of modern typography, but some user feedback consider it in the medieval look. Whatever it is, the inspiration of the font was originally set off from the logotype of internal student magazine where the designer had studied in the late 80s. Creator Campotype is a pure display font. This fonts do not have faces lowercase, but all caps. Nevertheless forms of different characters can be accessed by pressing the uppercase and lowercase on the keyboard. Maximum usage can be made by combining them as necessary. Some forms of characters were made more stylistic such as slash and backslash which “out of” the conventional form. In addition, the circle effects on several glyphs were created by default (as found on the free version) so that the glyph was enough to generated with the keyboard access as usual. Sarabande is a painstaking reproduction of Jean Jannon's famous "Garamond" of 1621 -- also known as "Caracteres de l'universite." Whereas the original was intended for setting French and Latin text only, Sarabande has all standard international characters and diacritics, along with a Euro symbol. (There are however no characters for higher mathematics or logic, and the number of other unhistorical characters has also been kept to a practical minimum.) Sarabande comes with two styles: a roman and a true italic.

The vintage sheet music for "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" yielded another bit of Art Deco-era lettering perfect for developing into a digital font. This time it wasn't the song title, but rather the name of the show it was from serving as the type inspiration - the Cotton Club's 1931 revue "Rhythm-Mania". Harlem's Cotton Club was an "exclusive, whites only" club; both famous for its talent and shows, yet infamous for hiring black acts but not allowing black patronage. On the sheet music, the show title was hand lettered in a bold, slightly stylized fashion which became the basis for Rhythmic Revue JNL; available in both regular and oblique versions.

Gate A1 is a typeface inspired by the famous DIN, but it is more humane compared to the prototype. Thanks to its straightforward, roughly naive construction and slightly increased letter spacing, the font is quite legible, even under difficult conditions. The first book printed with this font, in 1557, was probably Dialogues de la vie et de la mort by Innocent Ringhier. We offer the complete typeface. It is a charming font with historical forms (long s, final s and others) and many ligatures, enriched with accented letters and other characters that did not exist in the original (thorn, eth, lslash and others), and a lot of alternates that permit rich and varying typography.
