This family is based on an offering in Barnhart Brothers & Spindler’s Type Specimen Catalog No. 9, issued around 1910, originally named "Grant". It makes a handsome addition to the Whiz-Bang Woodtype series, and is available in both a Rustic and Refined version. Named for a town in Texas, which the locals pronounce "Reh-FURRY-o". Both versions of this font contain complete Unicode 1252 (Latin) and Unicode 1250 (Central European) character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

Set the mirrored ball spinning, and get down to Funky Town. Based on a period piece appropriately named Disco 79, this version shifts the concentric elements so that they appear to be lit from below, adding impact and, perhaps, even a sinister touch. Freehand 471 is the Bitstream version of Cascade Script by Matthew Carter. Released by Mergenthaler Linotype in 1965, this design is based on an earlier type by the Ludlow foundry. It's a dark, disconnected script with angular forms. It seems written by heavy marker and thus suitable for informal posters and signage and for advertising and display typography as well. Central European, Cyrillic, and Greek Monotonic characters were designed by Oleg Karpinsky. Released by ParaType in 2011.

One in the series of fonts called Whiz-Bang Wood Type, intended to be set large and tight. Ouachita Way is an ultrabold and boxy caps and small caps font, especially well-suited for commadning headlines. Based on nineteenth-century “Grecian” fonts, the name comes from a forest and a river in Arkansas. This font, as indicated by its namesake, was designed and started by the late Bob Alonso. It represents the first of his unfinished work to be completed by friend and colleague John Bomparte, following Bob's passing in December of 2007. It is a font that speaks with a distinctively robust voice; and would be a great choice for a wide variety of uses. Patterned after cheap neon signage, this face has class, all of it low. Uppercase only, the lowercase positions are filled with an assortment of cheesy neon graphics, intended to be used at twice the point size of the caps. Named after a 70s TV show about a hotel with a defective neon sign. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

This growing family of friendly faces is based on the typeface Bravour, designed in 1913 by Martin Jacoby-Boy for the D. Stempel AG foundry in Frankfurt am Main. The wide stance and very large x-height shared by the family members makes them warm and inviting, and equally suitable for use in headlines or text blocks. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

Rivets is a result of my fascination with the beauty I find in utilitarian industrial objects like the decorative ironwork in Grand Central terminal and the eloquent construction details of the urban infrastructure of the 19th and early 20th century. It began as die-raised typography for a magazine cover, developed further for a book about mid-20th century American manufacturing and evolved into a complete font plus four individual components suitable for producing multiple color variations.

Inerta is a neutral, but not flavourless, cross between a geometric sans and a neo-grotesk. It is designed to work perfectly in UI/UX applications, and to remain readable in smallest font sizes. With over 950 glyphs, the font family offers extensive language support and many typesetting options to choose from. The letterforms of Lucien Bernhard's stylish, if somewhat anorexic, Bernhard Fashion were beefed up and complemented with thick-and-thin stroke variation to create this elegant family, available in normal and bold weights. Additionally, Bernhard's variant forms have replaced several of the letters which commonly appear in other revivals. The Postscript and Truetype versions contain a complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252); in addition, the Opentype version supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages as well.

This family takes its inspiration from two early Art Deco faces from Germany. The Normal version is based on Dynamo, designed by K. Sommer for Ludwig & Mayer in 1930, while the Narrow version is based on Stadion, designed by Erhard Grundeis for Die Schriftguß AG in 1929. Their common design motifs epitomize the Age of Streamline. Both versions include the complete Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1254 character sets, with localization for Lithuanian, Moldovan and Romanian.

Lewis F. Day, in his 1910 classic Alphabets Old and New, filed this work by Laurence Schall under the category of Celtic-inspired, and surely it is both. This font included a few special extras, including a Celtic cross in the florin position, a Celtic knot is the dagger position, a shamrock as the asterisk, and a double shamrock in the double-dagger position. Both versions of this font include the Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

Type designer Friedrich Poppl is perhaps best known for his classic text faces and elegant scripts, but it seems he had a playful side as well. This frisky face is based on Dynamische Antiqua, which Poppl did for the Stempel foundry in 1960, but which was never released. Bright, bold and bouncy, it’s the perfect choice for headlines with impish impact. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

Another tip of the hat to master draftsman Samuel Welo. His famous Studio Handbook was hand-lettered throughout, and provided the inspirations for many of Nick's favorite fonts. This little number is based on the unnamed style Mr. Welo used for much of his paragraph text. Use it when you want to convey homespun warmth and a handmade feel. Delegat is a comic book lettering font inspired by handwritting of Frank Ching. The family includes Regular, Italic and Bold version. Delegat contains two variations for each letter and ligatures to swap out any two identical letters that appear next to one another for a pair that is slightly different. Delegat Extra can be used to disguise curse words in comics. Language support includes Western, Central and Eastern European character sets, as well as Baltic and Turkish languages.

Citadina font family has been designed for Graviton Font Foundry by Pablo Balcells in 2016. It is a sans serif typeface with a geometrical, mechanic, neutral appearence and a slightly condensed design which makes it particularly effective for space economizing. It has been conceived to be most suitable for short and middle length text blocks, as well as on all sized headlines. Citadina consists of 12 styles. Each containing small caps and glyph coverage for several languages.

Named after and inspired by an area in central Stockholm, this typeface also draws on design characteristics from faces such as Bodoni, Didot, Centennial and Walbaum as well as Mrs Eaves. The currently available Regular version of the typeface includes small caps, default and old style figures, standard ligatures as well as an extensive set of discretionary ligatures. Also included is a set of alternative lower case characters. These styles can be accessed as Opentype Features.

Blockrock is an OpenType typeface that lets you build letters right away. Use the different weights to construct 3-dimensional letter-buildings. It is inspired by the apartment living blocks in the center of East Berlin built in the 60s. The regular font contains more complex letter buildings, while the simple font has simplified and plain letters in two different levels. Blockrock comes with kerning and a full Western and Central European language support, including Baltic and Turkish.

A handlettered headline in the January 1953 issue of Park East magazine by wacko album artist Jim Flora provided the inspiration for this exercise in extreme lettering. Check out the [brackets] and the bullet point... like, endsville, daddy-o. Due to the complexity of this typeface, the font has no math operators. The Postscript and Truetype versions contain a complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252); in addition, the Opentype version supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages as well.

This font was inspired by one of Antoine Augereau's three roman typefaces: the Gros Romain (±16 Pts) size, used in 1533 to print Le miroir de l'âme..., a religious poetic compilation by Marguerite de Navarre, sister of the French king François the first. It seems possible that Augereau may have also engraved italic styles. This alphabet, with its complete small caps collection, is covering all West, East and Central European languages (including Baltic and Celtic) and Turkish.
