A series of lettering guides called “Mimeostyle” for the A. B. Spring Season JNL is a decorated and stylized Art Deco slab serif design from1935 which is based on the hand lettered title on the sheet music for “Paris in the Spring”. The characters are cut through with both a straight line and a wavy, spoked line which looks something like a thorny vine. Spring Season JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The ATF syndicate released the inspiration for this quaint charmer in its 1884-1885 series of specimen books under its current name. Its warmth and unassuming naivete make it perfect for headlines seeking to evoke simpler times. Both versions of this font include the complete Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1254 character sets, along with localization for Lithuanian, Moldovan, Romanian and Turkish.

Sheldrake JNL is the second in a series of display fonts modeled from actual water-applied decals that were manufactured by the Duro Decal Company of Chicago (now Duro Art Industries). The font's name derives from the actual phone exchange for Duro, back in the days when a telephone listing had a name-number assignment for recognition. In this case, their number began as "SH(eldrake)-3".

All three fonts - Dropout, Rough Diamond and Thorny, evolved from experimenting with a cubic template devised as the basis for a retro display type series titled ‘Flashback’. I experimented with numerous shapes initially to see which forms lent themselves best to the negative spaces forming the characters. Although many interesting variants are possible within this context, these three were resolved best out of the several options tried.

Another addition to the Whiz-Bang Woodtype series, this offering is patterned after a typeface issued by the old Boston firm of Baker & Greele in 1826. Named after a small town in Texas just a hop, skip and a jump from the Red River and Arkansas. Both versions of this font include the complete Latin 1252 and CE 1250 character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

Little is known of the origin of these decorative Initial Caps. Series 448 at 24 point were a different design from the 36 point on which this digital version is based. In addition to the basic 26 characters, there is a negative version contained in the lower case position and a fill character (for two color caps) option in the number and punctuation key positions.

Inked Balterm is a hand-inked typeface with a humanist touch. It provides visual interest through the contrasting elements of the thin strokes mixed with the solid ball terminals. Sticky Annie is the latest in the series of fonts I've designed that are named after my wife. Little bundles of overlapping sticks or lines make up each character. It's made to look good at small font sizes, but the bigger, the better. At small sizes it's fun and a little childish. At bigger sizes, especially in all-caps, it looks intricate, distinctive and stately.

Afrikana is based on various African letters and signs. The main inspiration for making this typeface was the book by Saki Mafundikwa, Afrikan Alphabets. Letters were designed based on signs and characters from African alphabets. They were than cut out of cardboard, scanned, traced and put in a font. You are free to modify the font in any way and have fun with it.

Khamai Pro is a first attempt at writing a monoline main feature of the curves. Completed after 17 months with many design twists,and also an attempt to provide a different visual design and style as Staccato: (dashed line) Rail: (double line) and Tribe: (triple line). Franklin Gothic Hand Demi Shadow is another one in my series of hand-drawn fonts from way back in time – before computers changed the way we worked in advertising. Whenever I create a font using a Chinese brush and ink, it almost always comes out scary-looking. Sensory Overload is not like that: it is quite a neat and tidy font, even if it is a little rough around the edges.
