Ranger is a geometric font with no curves. The lower-case letters have an extremely high x-height.

This classified version of Monkton, with its expanded proportions and extended serifs can be used at small sizes for classified advertising, newspaper text or larger displays. Its semi-medium weight (heavier than Book weight) makes it robust to be legible when smaller and cope with various printing methods. The inspiration for this typeface family came from my childhood experiences at Monkton, amidst an historic part of the South West of England. Studies of the original incised capitals of the Trajan column in Rome were analysed and polished for this modern version. The lower case letterforms and numerals were then created in sympathy, taking their proportions from the incised letters of local gravestones. Its name honours not only the area where the original alphabet was conceived and drawn, but also the people responsible for fostering my initial interest in letters.

The hand lettering for the movie posters and collateral items for the 1962 film "Mondo Cane" inspired Doggone It JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. "Mondo Cane" loosely translates into "A Dog's World", and the subject of the travelogue documentary consisted mainly of unusual cultural practices around the world that many would find perverse, depraved or shocking.

Teapot is a font with letters on teapots. Upper-case letters have the handles on the right and lower-case characters have the handles on the left. The letters on the teapots are from the typeface InsideLetters. A revision in 2018 added some characters that can be used to create multicolored lettering. A pdf file here shows how to use them.

Agafia handwriting script is based on the hand of Agafia Karpovna Lykova - the last member of the Old Believer family lived like an hermit in the Khakass taiga. The face is developed for the new book on the history of Lykov's family by Lev Cherepanov. It's built in OpenType format with a contextual substitution of letterforms and specific ligatures. Otari is vibrant and contemporary, but serious and built to last. Its character shines in display type, but doesn’t interfere at text sizes. Otari aims to capture the essence of Wellington, New Zealand in a single typeface. Released by the Compugraphic Corporation in 1979, the Garth Graphic font family is based on a design by John Matt from the 1960's, reworked by Renee LeWinter and Constance Blanchard. Garth Graphic was named after Bill Garth, a founder of Compugraphic. A fairly strong old style face suitable for text setting; the heavier weights and condensed forms are most used for display work.

Eckhardt Casual JNL was modeled from an example of poster lettering found in a 1941 Speedball® Lettering Pen instruction book. The font is named in honor of Jeff Levine's good friend, the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr. (owner of Allied Signs in Miami, Florida until his passing) and is one of a number of releases with a "sign painter" theme that comprise the "Eckhardt Series".

Typefaces designated as Latins were popular during the last half of the nineteenth century. One of the styles that continued to be popular into the twentieth century is the bold condensed typeface Latin. Readily identifiable by its triangular serifs and sharp terminals on the strokes of some of the lowercase letters, Latin Condensed makes an interesting display type and its condensed proportions easily solve copyfitting problems.

This set of initial letters was inspired from French renaissance decorated letters. Unfortunately, we don't know where they were in use, or who was the punchcutter, our models were coming from a late XIXth century copy. Note: The letters I and J, U and V are not different. It is not a mistake, but it is the exact reflection of what was customary during the period.

Eckhardt Poster Brush JNL is part of a series of fonts emulating many of the various styles of hand lettering employed by sign painters and show card writers. The series is named in honor of the late Albert Eckhardt, Jr. - a talented sign writer and a good friend of the font's designer, Jeff Levine. Eckhardt Poster Italic JNL is an angled treatment of the font.

Designed at Polygraphmash circa 1940 (project manager Anatoly Shchukin). Based on the text typefaces of the late 19th and early 20th centuries of Obyknovennaya (Common) group. The digital version developed at ParaType in 1996 by Vladimir Yefimov. Initially designed for a collection of works by Lenin, this typeface was widely used in Soviet Union for technical and scientific books, both for text and display.

The idea for this font family, derived from SMS text message faces (Emojis) and found photographs of faces collected over the last ten years. The concept for this project was to a create text-face characters using only the glyphes found in a standard version of a Sans Serif typeface. There are 36 different Textfaces. Available in three weights, Regular, Bold and a Stencil version.

Bugleboy started as a digitized version of "Wood Grotesk," a 1970s film typeface by LetterGraphics. It started with a bare bones character set which we added swash alternates for Capitals, Stylistic Alternates for a Unicase look, and crafted a Sans version without serifs. The Sans style lacks swashes but keeps Stylistic Alternate Unicase forms. See the last graphic for a comprehensive character map preview.

Brain Squeeze is a nice, fat, messy brush font. I made it with one of my late father in law’s prized Chinese brushes and my Chinese ink. A Victorian face named Oakwood provided the pattern for this decorative little number, with its swirls and curls guaranteed to delight boys and girls, saints and churls, and dogs and squirrels…well, maybe not the last pair, but you get the idea. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

The idea for Cambalache was conceived back in 2008 and was to create a geometrical font based on tangential modules into structure. The serif would be arranged, looking to approach to the lettering shapes. The creative concept has a feel from the mid-30s of last century, reaching a taste of retro and vintage style. Includes oldstyle numbers, slashed zero, standard and discretional ligatures.

Ambergate is a new typeface family redolent of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It’s a display family of four small capitals roman faces, incised and elaborated with filigree scrollwork. Prismatiq JNL was modeled from lettering found in a French alphabet book from the turn of the last century - the type sample appearing online at an image sharing site. All of the imperfections of hand-lettering were left intact. This is a limited character set comprising A-Z, 1-0, basic punctuation, forward slash and dollar and cents signs, and is best used in large headline applications.

Karaoke JNL is one of the many alphabets created by the late Alf R. Becker that was showcased in Signs of the Times magazine from the 1930s through the 1950s. Thanks to Tod Swormstedt of ST Media (and who is the curator of the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio) for providing Jeff Levine the research material from which this font design was modeled.

With all of the stencil fonts created by Jeff Levine from various vintage sources, you would think everything had already been covered. Not so. Along comes Amateur Stencil JNL. Modeled from a child's stencil set from the late 1950's or early 1960's, it vaguely resembles Futura, but its irregular widths and semi-stencil appearance sets it off greatly from that classic typeface.
