Marli is an adaption of a face designed by F. Schweimanns and issued by the Stempel Foundry from 6 to 48 point, as “Korso”, in 1913. In 1936 the American Intertype issued their version for the line composing machines in 12 and 14 point as “Camera”. It is a very suitable type face for personal stationery, announcements, greeting cards and the like. The font is updated with a full Open Type character set, while also a Cyrillic has been added.

Etruscania font is base on Anchient Etruscan Alphabet. The Etruscan alphabet is an Ancient Italian alphabet used by the Etruscans, an ancient civilization of the central and northern lands, to write their language, from around 700 BC to around 100 AD. The Etruscan alphabet took inspiration from the Phoenician alphabet. The earliest known Etruscan abecedarium inscribed on an ivory wax tablet frame, measuring 8.8x5 cm, was found at Marsiliana near Grosseto, Tuscany in Italy. It dates from around 700 BC.

Lewis F. Day, in his Alphabets Old and New, presented these letters as examples of rustic Roman lettering of the first through third centuries, AD. Impresssionable JNL is a font created from samples printed from a vintage rubber stamp toy set. This is a limited character design without spacing or kerning in order to preserve the hand-made look of inkpad printing on paper. A few extra punctuation glyphs, a percent sign and Euro were added to the original characters. At smaller sizes (72 point or less), the letters resemble the imprints of the stamps, but at higher sizes, they take on a different look of deconstructed lettering.

A long time ago, I used to work in a Pundak near the Dead Sea. It was a typical halfway restaurant slash gas station and you could order the usual dishes: fries, schnitzel, salad. Of course, this typeface has nothing to do with that Pundak; I just thought about the time I spent there when I created it. Pundak font is an all caps contoured affair. Ideal for packaging (not just Schnitzels…), headlines and posters. It comes with all the diacritics.

Fady Lingers is a mispronunciation of that famous Italian cookie - nevertheless, there is nothing awkward or wrong with the font! It is handmade using a thin marker, leaving an uneven edge. I did spend some time cleaning up each letter, but was carefully observant to keep the original handmade and organic look. Dufour was named in honor of an art deco font called "Independent" designed in the 1930s by Collette and Dufour. "Dufour" is influenced by the original font, however, there are substantial differences: instead of small caps, a true lower case was created, the upper case character proportions and shapes have been greatly modified, and all missing characters have been created to make a truly modern font which nevertheless has all of the panache of the original. A related font is Collette, designed by Anton Scholtz, however, Dufour has a softer feel that is more true to the original art deco period. I have named the font “Makonde” after an tribal group in southeast Tanzania and northern Mozambique that is well known for their intricate and semi-realistic wood carvings. The patterns that decorate the Makonde font remind me of the Makonde wood carvings. The Makonde font is a useful resource for anyone creating designs or producing text that has African look. Monocolo is the result of a reflection on communication and of the language evolution in the new media. For this reason, some emoticons have been added to the usual glyphs and symbols and icons have been added to the regular. These glyphs, through the use of Discretionary Ligatures (DL) feature, can be recalled by using their name or idea associated with them (in the English language). This feature is designed to retrieve the icons quickly and not to be applied to a text, therefore you have to pay attention to compound words when used through DL.

We designed Mrs White for our next book for children. We needed a clean script that would give a feeling of a primary school handwriting. Mrs White is filled with ligatures and contextual alternates which gives her very smooth line of text. Scripts shouldn't be used without lowercase letters so we added a small caps for headlines and acronyms. Check out the manual for more information on how to use Mrs White. Polish language use latin characters but we would like our Eastern neighbors to be able to enjoy Mrs White so we added cyrillic alphabet (script and caps).

Have you ever searched for a font that looked like it was really someone's handwriting, only to find that it was too feminine or too hard to read? I used to want a font like that, too, until I discovered that a font like that had been residing in my attic, in letters to me from my late grandfather. Not only was I thrilled to have a font like this at hand, but also one that would be a memory of my grandfather every time I used it. He was a hard-working man, raising a family during the Depression, yet was still fun-loving, kind, and generous. We called him Grandhappy. As a wedding present, I received from him rolling pins and a cutting board made of 8 different kinds of wood that he pieced together. In this font, the bullet is a rolling pin in honor of that! Other than the fact that this is a font from the hand of one greatly loved, my favorite thing is that although a True Type Font, it has some features of an Open Type font. There are many alternative letter choices available through the use of little-used keys on the keyboard and alt codes. This font was chosen to portray Jay Gatsby's handwriting in The Great Gatsby (2013).

Quartal is a family of stylish sans serif typefaces of condensed proportions. The family consists of 5 regular weights, 4 condensed ones and 13 extended styles (7 upright and 6 italic). At first there was intention to release just 4 condensed weights for headlines and advertising texts, but later 5 styles of wider proportions were added. As the result the area of applications becomes much wider due to possibility to use the font for smaller point sizes. The name "Quartal", which in this case means city quarter, according to author's associations emphasizes the advertising nature of the design most suitable to the urban environment. A rustic black letter from the 1930ies — with stylistic alternates. The high degree of abstraction of this typeface allows it to appear modern, even though its shapes clearly show an origin from Fraktur and Gothic. The letters present the effect of woodcarving or silhouette cuttings as they are defined exclusively with straight lines and sharp corners. By doing without any bowls, the typeface becomes a stylistic entity with a decorative effect. Palmona is especially appealing in combination with bold illustrations. Some of the characters of Palmona are available in one or more alternate forms which can be accessed manually or automatically. Use of these alternates is most easily operated with OpenType-Functions Standard-Ligatures and Discretional Ligatures in the user program. With Standard Ligatures activated, problematic letter compositions are substituted with appropriate ligatures. Likewise, in certain letter combinations the alternates are inserted.
