Philip Bouwsma makes use of his extensive calligraphy and type design experience by reaching into his vault and completing one of his unfinished projects from the mid-1990s. The result is Styx, a four-font connected-script family, with rough and smooth variations, each containing two sets of majuscules and plenty of alternates sprinkled throughout the character map. The Styx family comes in all popular font formats, and includes an extended range of language support covering Western and Central/Eastern European languages, Turkish, Baltic, Esperanto and Celtic/Welsh. The OpenType fonts contain both flat and class-based kerning.

BLOGGY designed in 2010 by André Toet. In the series of typefaces that were created by our team, BLOGGY stands out as a rough typeface based on a grid. Within this square grid the typeface is enlarged and reduced in size in order to create a dazzling font. A complete ‘extra alphabet’ was added to the font by cutting the letters diagonally. Disruptor's Script is the alter ego of our previous project Gentlemen's Script. Unlike the Gentlemen's Script, the new font is an elegant rebel and defies traditions. The font is painted with a brush pen, which is especially noticeable in the characteristic shabbiness and different thicknesses of the strokes. While the Gentlemen's Script is an embodiment of a classic costume, dress shoes and an expensive watch, Disruptor's Script is a fashionable suit, sneakers, an iWatch and a tattoo that peeks from under the shirt. The font retained the incline, speed and overall sense of dynamics inherent in Gentlemen's Script, but got a bit more chaotic and unpredictable. This is especially noticeable in the newly added shabbiness, elongated extenders, a large number of contextual alternates and different ligatures. For some high-frequency letters (10 for the Latin alphabet and 10 for the Cyrillic alphabet), we painted alternative versions that are substituted in the word instead of the standard characters when following our preceding certain groups of letters. In addition, in the Disruptor's Script you can find functional ligatures, including some of the frequently occurring two- and three-letter combinations. All these solutions dilute the monotonous line of the set, add a bit of unpredictability to the font and a touch of chaos to inscriptions. To fully enjoy usage of the font, we recommend that you always keep the features contextual alternates (calt) and standard ligatures (liga) turned on. If you do not have access to applications that support OpenType features, it does not matter—even without these features you can use and enjoy our font!

Puggu is ideal for headlines or posters where slightly unusual or unrefined type is required, though paragraphs of text are quite readable. The font includes 57 ligatures of fairly common letter combinations (such as at, ee, ss, tt, Ar, RD,) with alternative letter-shapes used, to give some random variations and avoid having too many repeat letters looking identical. (The full list is included with the zip-file.) And there's a wide range of accented characters giving compatability with many European languages. Italian Old Style™ was designed by Frederic W. Goudy for the Lanston Monotype Company in the USA. Goudy was asked by Monotype to copy Cloister Oldstyle, a successful font that belonged to a competing foundry (it was designed by Morris Fuller Benton, see Cloister Open Face). Goudy refused on grounds of ethics, and instead talked Monotype into producing a new face. This he based freely on fifteenth century Venetian types, which were the same historical models used by Benton for Cloister and later by Bruce Rogers for Centaur. News Gothic No. 2 is an enhanced version of News Gothic produced by the D. Stempel AG type foundry in 1984. It added more weights to the News Gothic family than were available in other versions, increasing its use in contemporary design and communication. The lighter weights of the original News Gothic were designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1908 for American Typefounders (ATF). News Gothic typeface is quite similar to Benton's other sans serifs from the early twentieth century, including Franklin Gothic and Lightline Gothic. The bold weights were added to the News Gothic scheme in 1958. The capital letters in News Gothic No. 2, just like those found in News Gothic, have a similar visual width to each other. The lowercase is compact and powerful. These design attributes contributed to Benton's strong handle on the sans serif genre, and for years his types have been popular for newspaper headlines and many other uses. Still a popular presence on the font charts, News Gothic has proven its ability to get the job done right.

Kade is a display/semi display sans family of fonts based on vernacular lettering photographed over the last ten years in and around the harbors of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Hence the name Kade that translates into English as ‘quay’, also the name of its designer. Kade grew slowly from many different ideas and elements. The letters reflects the industrial method in which they are cut for the side of ships from large steel plates. Frequently subtleties of curves are compromised due to the cutting tools and the fact engineers are in control. Kade’s italics have an experimental character and were produced in an unorthodox manner by rotating 8 degrees, rather than slanting the roman characters, a method sometimes employed in shipyards. Kade constructed character is ideal for contemporary editorial works, architecture magazines, museums communication and posters.
