I am a coffee person, but two years ago, just before the whole Covid-thing happened, I came down with what I assumed to be the flu. It was a really nasty flu as well: I was down for 10 days or so and when I sort of recovered, nothing tasted the same. Coffee tasted like cardboard and I couldn't stand the taste of it, so I decided to drink tea instead. The 'supermarket tea' we have in Holland is quite bad and tasteless, so I ordered some proper strong English tea online and I have been drinking it ever since. Of course I was thinking of this when I created Imperial Tea font. Imperial Tea font was made with... yes, you've guessed it: Chinese ink and a brush. Imperial Tea is a nice, 'oriental-ish' looking font that comes with a set of alternate glyphs and an impressive language support, including Vietnamese and Greek.

I am shocked to my very core that the name "Tropical Punch" hasn't been used for a font yet. What a delight, that my very first name choice is available, and I can grow my collection of fonts named after delicious food and drink! Tropical Punch is a retro-tropical font with a ton of variety: I've included nearly 200 multi-letter ligatures with nesting letters, to add quirky and fun variety to all of your projects. There are also a few alternate vowels, plus a few dingbats to add jazzy pizzazz; and 10 smaller catchwords like THE, AND, WITH, and more! I've also made an outline version--Tropical Punch Outline--which surrounds the solid letters beautifully, so you have even more options! Of course, both versions have my usual 300+ extended Latin characters for language support. And I've included a set of uppercase Greek letters as well! And everything, as always, is fully PUA-encoded so all characters are easy to access.

Woodford Bourne is a brand new 19th century grotesque typeface. The design is a tribute to the historic stone cast type in the building façades of the former Woodford, Bourne & Co. in Cork City, Ireland. For many years I had admired the type’s simplicity and strength, so I decided to faithfully reproduce those letters and expand them to a fully working font with 500 glyphs per case. A key feature of Woodford Bourne is the ability to change the feel of your typography with just one click. Switch from contemporary to vintage style by selecting “Stylistic Set 1” – this gives Woodford Bourne a unique versatility which I am sure you will enjoy playing with in your designs. It is a solid, reliable “workhorse” font family that reproduces well at all sizes… it’s also great for branding and identities. These font files (v2) were redrawn and updated in April 2021 (v1 created 2015).

Fazeta Sans is a perfect companion to serif typeface Fazeta. Two light weights were added, so the complete typeface consist of 14 fonts (7 weights + matching italics). The fine gradation lets you choose perfect weight for any type of project. Every font have 1140 glyphs – just like the serif version and contains the same features, so use and combining of whole typeface is very comfortable. Also fixed kerning allows better comfort for eyes by reading and shortens the length of the text. I tried to preserve sharp and cold impression from serif version, but some straight lines had to be curved due to the natural limitation of sans typefaces (for example the upper arch of “f” is shaped more smooth). However it keeps extremely open form. A little playfulness was left at the end of letters “k, K, and R”, but if you want, this can be eliminated by using a rigorous SS01 feature. Serifs were here transformed into a small yaw from main stroke and so enlive the monotony of sans kind of types. Also slight cutting the top of the letters helping to surprisingly vivid final impression. Apparently, Lexicon is the most expensive font in the world. ‘Skiart Lexiconic’ has been on a long growing path getting to where it is now. This font family was originally inspired by the san serif font ‘Skia’, by Mathew Carter for Apple. ‘Skiart’ was designed to feel more like a serifed font, but without any actual serifs. It took a small step between sans serif and serif fonts. Next on the path towards a serif font came Skiart Serif Mini, with tiny serifs added. This was a true serif font, although they were subtle. Then came ‘Skiart Serif Leaf’. and now... We present to you... DT Skiart Lexiconic. Having evolved from the Skiart family, we chose to give it the serifed styling of Lexicon. Chop chop! VLNL Cleaver is an important tool in the Vette Letters’ kitchen. It’s a butcher knife of a font. Razor sharp, ultra heavy and with pointy slanted serifs. At first glance it seems straight-lined, but a closer look revails that all straight lines are curved inward slightly, which enhances the sharp image even more. Cleaver was originally designed by DBXL for cutting meat - hell, it even hacks right through bone. It can easily splice a chicken in one slash or seperate ribs, just like that. You can also very well use it to chop up hard vegetables like pumpkin or squash on the chopping block. It gets better, the opposite blunt side can be deployed to crush ingredients like garlic, nuts or spices like black pepper. You could use a grinder, but with Cleaver it’s more fun, isn’t it?
