I can’t remember when I had a true lazy morning.. I was a looong time ago, before I had children! Even now, when I’m down with the flu, I can’t stay in bed for too long - it really seems like a waste of time! Lazy Morning is a nice handwritten font. I made it with a Sharpie pen. Pendulum is the much-anticipated digitization and swashy expansion of Americana, an amazing yet long overlooked treasure from the Nebiolo foundry, circa 1945. With heavy descenders and seemingly floating ascenders emanating from one of the most classical attempts at connected upright calligraphy, never did a font have this much charm and complexity at once. Melodi is the result of years of working with hand made types on my designs. Every time I draw the letters and words that I need for every design piece. One day I decided to go serious and make a real type of it and “Melodi” is the result of this work. It’s a calligraphic font, built using a regular stroke, and carefully crafted to have nice joins between all the letters. It has some playful but stylish capitals that brings lot of personality to the font. It work super nice either in lowercase writing as in all-caps texts. It looks specially good on lists of words or small sentences. Melodi is a playful but very versatile font, it can be used in lots of different scenarios. From creating a logo, writing the tittles of a catalogue or use it in a poster combined with other types (it work really well as counter point of more classical types) to motion graphics animations or advertising work. It can be cute but it also can do hard work!

Keswick is a beautiful small town in the English Lake District. It is a good place to hang out for a while and explore the surrounding National Park. During your stay you could visit the Keswick Pencil Factory - which brings us to this nice font… Keswick font was created using a 6B pencil (the crumbly, soft kind) and a lot of patience. I have to admit, the pencil used was not made in Keswick. Sorry 'bout that…

I started this font on a Monday and I finished it the Monday after, so I guess the name is right! Another Monday started off as a bit of doodling (with a Sharpie pen) on a piece of paper. Before I knew it, I had a complete glyph set and it looked nice. Another Monday is a bit messy, uneven and maybe even a little weird, but it will look good on postcards, packaging and labels.

To snuggle is "settle or move into a warm, comfortable position" - that is exactly what I did with making this chunky seriffed font. Well, maybe not a position, but a comfortable mood! I tried to mix some gentle grafitti moves and comic letters, and then a touch of the classic goofy pizzadude style - and the result is this cheeky font called Snuggle Punk. Full of round corners and fat lines - sounds like a nice cup of coffee! :)

Carte Blanche literally means 'Blank Ticket'. Yeah, yeah, it is also a very 007-ish catchphrase, but I wanted to give this elegant font a 'stylish' name and Carte Blanche popped up. All glyphs were hand drawn on a rather expensive piece of heavy-weight paper and were put into the font in between changing nappies, bouts of the flu and the subsequent wiping of snotty noses. Carte Blanche speaks most Roman-based languages - albeit nasally…

Snow Job JNL was inspired by the hand lettered titles for the 1964 Rankin-Bass animated holiday classic "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". Because of the variable heights of the characters they float about the baseline in a free-form design. Available in both regular and oblique versions, the typeface gets its name from both the winter theme of the TV special along with the old term for deceiving someone with compliments while hiding one's true intent.

Brer Rabbit (or Brother Rabbit) is the central figure in an oral tradition passed down by African-Americans. Brer Rabbit is a trickster, just like the other popular trickster character in African stories called Anansi the spider. Brer Rabbit was based on an old font of mine called Rabbit On The Moon. It is a nice, cute children’s book font that comes with extensive language support and Brer Rabbit himself, in the shape of the alternative asterisk glyph.

For decades, the Greenwich Village area of New York was a home for artists, poets, writers and free-thinkers of their time who were labeled "Bohemians" because of their non-conformist approach to life and the arts. Greenwich Village JNL is an Art Nouveau-influenced typeface with a Bohemian approach in its double crossbars on the A and H; all the while being a nice example of hand lettering found on a vintage piece of sheet music.

Up until the advent of vinyl plotters, computers and a myriad of other typesetting and printing changes the world has experienced over the past few decades, the art of hand lettering flourished. An early 1900s book on show card writing displayed a nice example of a Grotesk typeface (a popular style of sans serif of the time). This has been redrawn digitally as Simply Grotesk JNL and is available in four varieties - regular, oblique, condensed and condensed oblique.

Mellnik is a sans serif of humanist style (in a way) that was developed by Oleg Karpinsky for ParaType in 2006. The type family contains nine styles with a number of alternate characters in each ones. For use as a text font in long text passages of advertising booklets, catalogues or magazines, as well as for accident setting. Mellnik may be also applied as a corporate typeface. Five condensed styles were added in 2007 by the same designer.
