Polydot is an experimental Font, built following its own rules. It has interesting letter shapes, making it a perfect choice for creative packaging and magazine design. At the same time it makes a beautiful, neat but vivid text pattern when used in smaller sizes: Use it for children’s books, food and beverage, cosmetics or health topics. Each Glyph is based on at least one dot on the body line, and has up to two more on the lower case level and the ascender level. Since they have the same size and are on the same height on all letters, no matter what weight and shape, these dots give a strong structure to the typeface, allowing for dynamic and easy letter shapes, inspired by brush strokes. Islandia is simple script font with wide characters. It's relaxing font and easy to use, you don't need any design software to access all characters. Islandia doesn't have uppercase, the uppercase replaced with lowercase that contains tails or swash in the front. Standard multilingual characters, numeral and punctuation included.

The first design of Elensans consisted of 4 styles that are including two weights and their italics which I designed in my student years in 2002. It was designed with a little Art Nouveau style touch with inspired by classical geometric based fonts such as Friz Quadrata and Eras. It was updated with according to the orientations of the day in 2012 and eventually it took its final form with actual touches in 2020. The family has 18 weights, ranging from Thin to Black in normal styles and including their italics. It is ideally suited for advertising and packaging, editorial and publishing, logo, branding and creative industries, poster and billboards, small text, wayfinding and signage as well as web and screen design.

I am a firm believer in the fact that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So, for the last 10 years (ever since I became a father), I have been serving my family a healthy breakfast. I live in The Netherlands, so the main portion of breakfast is bread, but I try to serve something ‘nice’ every day. Like strawberries, yoghurt with banana and brown sugar (not too much sugar!), oatmeal porridge or granola. I myself like Indonesian fried rice (nasi goreng) for breakfast, but I am afraid my kids won’t eat that in the morning… Power Breakfast is a handmade display font. Yes, it is wobbly, yes, it is uneven, but that’s what’s so darn good about it!

The Joseph Struhl Company of Long Island, NY pioneered the use of cling vinyl in the field of reusable signs. Along with sets of die-cut letters and numbers, one of their main products for many years was a set of letters and numbers silk screened onto vinyl panels for larger window displays. Cling Vinyl JNL is Jeff Levine's tribute to this sign kit and its innovative contribution to retail marketing. The font comes in two styles: Cling Vinyl JNL has white characters on a black background and Cling Vinyl Clear JNL has black characters on an open (clear) background. In Holland, all kids have a six week long school holiday during the summer months. To prevent chaos, traffic jams and other madness, the government has divided the country in three regions (North, Middle and South) and school holidays start a few days to a week and a half apart. For kids this is the best time of the year, as they can have fun for a month and a half, but for us parents this sometimes is a bit of a logistic nightmare, as we still have to work! Six Week Holiday is an ode to the chaos of summer. It is a cute handmade ‘school’ font that will put some sunshine in your designs! Comes with extensive language support.

Cervo Neue Condensed is the new perfected and Condensed version of Cervo Neue, containing 18 variants. It differs from the previous version of Cervo with the higher accents over glyphs, enlarged punctuation, old-style numerals and the newly added varieties Semi Bold, Bold, Extra Bold and Black. Additionally, there is the variety of grotesque. Font Cervo is inspired by a “You And Me Monthly” published by National Magazines Publisher RSW „Prasa” that appeared from Mai 1960 till December 1973 in Poland. Recently, Cervo Neue Condensed has started being used as a display text in „Przekrój Magazine” which was published in years 1945–2013 in Krakow (2002–2009 in Warsaw) as a weekly and again from 2016 as a quarterly journal in Warsaw.

In the early days of printing it was soon recognized that there was a need to identify the printer and publisher behind the printed work. So these industrious people created marks to identify themselves to clients. This font contains over 160 marks dating back to the early years of printing with the likes of Fust, Ratdolt, Manutius, Caxton, and a whole host of others represented. Some of these printers were very influential and altered the course of history, some merely enabled the broader public to access the classics. Some were imprisoned and others helped foment revolutions. But all were riding the new current of this technology of moveable type that helped transform our world through the enabling of easily exchanging information.

At home we have a wood stove. Last year, I bought a whole bunch of tree trunks, which I cut up with a chainsaw and then chopped with my Swedish axe. In Holland we have a saying that firewood keeps you warm three times: when you cut the tree, when you chop the wood and when you burn it in the stove. Our stove is rather small, so it is not exactly a blazing furnace, but I liked the name because it seems to fit this font. Blazing Furnace was made with ink and a brush. It is a bit messy and rough, but it comes with multilingual support and a nice set of alternates for the lower case letters.

Arboria has been a long-term project. Starting with the commission of a custom ‘architect’ font, this typeface has been changing over the years to its current form, which is its public debut. The source is named after the capital of planet Mongo, a futuristic city with art decó influences in their buildings. Arboria maintains that tension but is influenced by all elements of concern to his author. The result is a hybrid Grotesque with nods to the XXII century. Arboria family consists of six weights and matching italics, aside from many characters (it covers Latin and CE languages), the wide range OpenType features allows Arboria to perform great as a text and as a display typeface. Rotulo Variable is a contrasted sans family which combines the Thick & Thin signpainter's style and some 70s feeling in a huge font family with three axis: Width, Weight and Slant. A visit to an exhibition of Spanish movie posters by Jano was the beginning of Rótulo (Spanish for Sign) project. Classic thick & thin signpainter style was featured in many letterings of those posters, as it was a very common style in 60s and 70s Spanish design. Unfortunately, today very few Contrasted Sans are seen, something that was quite common years ago has fallen into disuse in favor of Helvetic monotony. Rótulo recapture all that personality, with an extense range of weights and widths to be used in striking headlines and short texts.

Cartier was Canada’s first roman text typeface, created in 1967 to celebrate Canada’s centennial. Its designer, Carl Dair, was one of the country’s most celebrated graphic design pioneers, and a fine designer indeed — but he was not a trained type designer. He had spent a year at the Enschedé type foundry and printing works in the Netherlands, but that probably wasn’t enough to fully grasp all that was required to make an effective text face. It is also possible that Dair simply compromised his own design by not allowing any of the much needed alterations to be made to his working drawings when they were handed over to Linotype for production. Cartier, though a strikingly original oldstyle, never became the influential allround text face it might have been. A display typeface derived from it, Raleigh, was more successful. Realizing that Dair’s design was sound in concept, if not in execution, Rod McDonald began working on a new digital version in 1997. The final family is convincing proof that Cartier could have been the functional text face that Dair originally wanted.

Orto is a type family of sans serif fonts in eight weights. It's a humanist typeface with real cursive, containing both Roman and Italic styles. The letters are designed to look good on screen, they have a bit narrower proportions and simple shapes. Their structure is based on flat horizontal and vertical strokes, which are emphasized wherever possible. That’s where the name comes from: Orto is an abbreviation of the word orthogonal. Thanks to its narrow width, the typeface is less space-consuming and adapts well to the screens of smaller devices. It is legible in small sizes, thanks to the larger x-height. The characteristic details, like bent ends of diagonal strokes, stand out when used in larger sizes. Orto can be used equally good in print and its overall neutral look fits different contexts. However, its character is pretty recognizable. Orto contains Latin and Cyrillic script and covers six codepages: Latin 1, Latin 2, Cyrillic, Turkish, Windows Baltic and MacOS Roman. It has basic OpenType features like ligatures, oldstyle numerals, proportional and tabular lining figures, fractions, superiors, etc. Capital German sharp S shows up when the lowercase is typed between two uppercase letters, and the Contextual Alternates feature is turned on. The Stylistic Set 01 changes the shape of the Cyrillic b. The Stylistic Set 02 is a shortcut for using Serban Cyrillic alternatives that differ from Russian in cursive.

Home Style is a revival of a very old font previously thought to have been designed by Joseph Gillé in or around the year 1820, however recent evidence from France suggests that an artist by the name of Silvestre from the same time period may be the true designer of this font. You may have seen this font in the past under the names of Circus, Roma, Madame and Gillé Classic. Originally designed in France, this very decorative font was only available in uppercase including numbers. Today this font has been re-mastered and updated with the addition of a newly designed lowercase set of letters. Home Style with its diagonal or cast shadow lines breaks away from the original design which has squared off shadows.
