Khatt tries to mimic the concept behind the meaning of the Arabic word Khatt: a straight horizontal line. The word Khatt is also the word for calligraphy in the Arabic language. Even though Khatt is a cursive style font it offers clearly distinguished and visually unified letter shapes in every position of a word. Khatt supports all Arabetic scripts covered by Unicode 6.1, and the latest Arabic Supplement and Extended-A Unicode blocks, including support for Quranic texts. It comes with five weights, regular, medium, bold, light, and ultra-light. Each weight has normal and left-slanted “italic” styles. Salome is a revival, normalization and elaborate expansion of a 1972 film face called Cantini. I had a totally different name assigned to this font at first. Then, while drifting off to sleep one night during the creation process, my sleepy brain said, "You know, BLORP would be a great name to go with these letter shapes." “Chalkís” or “Chalkida” was the capital of the Euboea island in old Greece. The name derived from the Greek and it means copper - bronze. Colonist from this area founded several important cities in the Magna Graecia, such as Cumae (coastal area of Southern Italy), where our alphabet come from. At the beginning, first scribes draw the signs in mono-line, but later on, the influence of materials, tools and the skill of calligraphers, developed the refinement of the lettering. “Calcis” is a family of sans serif fonts, characterized by its austere, functional and clear style, emerged from straight lines and primary shapes; but enriched by the contribution of countless anonymous calligraphers who have polished and embellished their forms over the years. “Calcis” is presented in five weights and italic style. It has good legibility in small sizes, elegance and strong visual impact in headlines as well. Madelican is a beautiful combination of modern and classical calligraphy, inspired by the handwriting of Italian women and ancient manuscripts. I think calligraphy has an advantage for the alternate characters, Madelican has tons of possibilities for just one letter. My exploration of this fonts was not as easy as in my imagination, it took several trial and errors for the perfect balance of the style. Madelican is very suitable for weddings, book covers, greeting cards, logos, branding, business cards and certificates, even for any design work that requires a classic, formal or luxurious touch. Almost all letters have more alternate than others, it is fine because the limitations of the shape of the letters. It must be readable and legible. Every letter that I've chose are only the best on it and fit with the character style. Multi-lingual support and up to 16 stylistic alternates. As as a computer programmer, it is my job to stare at screens of text all day. As soon as I learned the mechanics of font design, I boldly set out to design a typeface from my own handwriting that I could use to make my life easier. First, it had to have very distinctive numerals (trust me, it can be easy to mistake an 8 for a 3 in code), it had to have huge punctuation characters (even Perl code like '[lN*1lK[d2%Sa2/d0' looks good in Debug), and it had to be a bit friendlier than Courier (so that I don't give up hope when my code won't compile). I had so much fun designing it that I decided to give it strange lower-case 'i's and 'm's as a bonus. I also spent far too much time hinting it so that it would look as nice as possible at low resolutions.

Derived from a photograph Rian Hughes took in Hong Kong, the Roadkill family of typefaces is a literal interpretation of rough and worn road lettering. The original provided almost all of the key character shapes, with the others being designed to keep the unique hand painted feel intact. Most of the letters have alternate versions provided. This font works equally well at wider letterspacing settings. Alta California became designer steve mehallo's "vector-based artist's response" to the early Apple Macintosh bitmapped font San Francisco. Alta California was developed using "sampled" wood type and letters from numerous historical sources. The name comes from the Alta California newspaper, the first daily published in California, one of a dubious Barbary Coast nature, a sheet that shaped the bias of San Franciscans and attracted its own grade of reporters, including a printing specialist who went under the nom de plume Mark Twain. Alta California's edges were meticulously redrafted by hand, with letterpress-inspired fallout and 19th century pointing hands. The final collection of rough hewn letters jump, dive, fall, zag and zig. Tom Lincoln's award-winning type design work since the 1960s has been one way or another of expressing his fascination for the Roman majuscules inscribed at the base of the Trajan Column in Rome. This time he has really outdone himself by bringing us Roma, a definitive, contemporary, mature sans serif expression of those majuscules. With Roma, Lincoln is not satisfied with simply creating a proper "Trajan Sans". He goes on to make it a family of four weights, with built-in small caps and oldstyle figures, then he really goes to town with the options he makes available for shading and multi-color settings. Precise renderings of the Roma capitals are provided in different fonts that can function individually or be layered atop each other for two- or three-color treatments. The Roma family comes with extended language support that spans the majority of Latin-based languages. Behrens Initialen is based on the type graphics of the German architect and type designer Peter Behrens (1868-1940). The drawing of the original typeface is in tune with the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style in which Behrens worked. This is a light, delicate, somewhat theatrical typeface, the forms of which bear at the same time a certain shade of Gothic and modernity, and can be used, in particular, when there is a need to make a reference to medieval graphics while maintaining the modern style of composition. In the proposed version, the original initial graphics are used not only for uppercase letters, but also for Arabic figures, while for lowercase letters and for the base of other characters are used the letters themselves - without decorative framing. This feature can be useful for obtaining various effects when using both lower and upper cases in parallel, including when they are overlaid. Fits is a modern version of the versatile vintage style script. It's clean, legible and easy to use. Fits was meant to be used as an everyday workhorse font, thus its uses are endless - from websites and signage to merchandise and editorial designs. It looks great on product packaging and menus, being easily readable from afar. It has some initial forms and ligatures, as well as fancier alternates for the capital letters (in case you want to spice things up a bit). Unlike its predecessor, BeachBar, Fits has more basic letter shapes which makes it the perfect script for most day-to-day design applications - think apps, websites, merchandise, posters and cards, blog titles, t-shirts, branding and animation projects, etc. As promised, Fits comes in seven weights for a different impact and with a neat set of Cyrillic letters. All in all, Fits is a simple and workable script that will fit most design tasks perfectly.

"Qualta" was initially designed in 2017 as a submission for a type design assignment while at typography school, originally launched under Alt-A Foundry, "PGF Qualta" was developed specially for Publishing Agency under the supervision of Peggo Fonts Foundry, now with a complete Small Caps set, classic and old style numeric figures, lining and tabular forms, scientific and fractional notation set, arrows set, light parenthesis set. Set on producing a geometric sans, it started with the circular form drawn from a 50s television screen. The bloated shape gave an illusion of protrusion and so much open space to the rounded letters. A broken stem was then added to the lowercase to provide a notch that allowed the typeface legibility in smaller sizes. The typeface was then developed into eight cuts with their corresponding italics. The lower case g includes a variation with a transitional link derived from the upper case Q’s tangent tail. Qualta’s original concept was designed by Isabel Gatuslao and was developed by Pedro Gonzalez.

Tepuy is the name given to the ancient plateau-shaped mountains that abound in the Venezuelan Amazon. Tepuy is a display typeface inspired by the symbolic forms of the Venezuelan ethnic roots. It is constructed based on a very precise geometry of open forms that produce a double letter in form and counterform. Tepuy originates as an evolution curve of my Font Makiritare rectilinearly. Was devised for a book of photographs of the ancient mountains of the Venezuelan Amazon, its form and Makiritare are morphologically inspired crafts in the ethnic groups of the region. Tepuy is held in a very precise geometric construction based on rounded forms, each letter is a form envelope enclosing another in counterform, is a letter to display. Tepuy comes in four versions Regular, Light and thin, and there is a double line version enclosed. Tepuy recommended for creative headlines for the label and packaging design aimed at all ages.

Capitolina is a family of 10 typefaces with a contemporary design style, based on different historical models. The original shape of serifs was a reference to 19th century’s Clarendon types though this inspiration remains as a subtle feature of the final design. Even subtler are the calligraphic influences, better noticed in the italics. The result is a set of typefaces that look more ‘constructed’ than ‘written’, referring to a rationalist style. However, it has a distinct approach to the aesthetic treatment of typographic forms that resembles the humanist tradition. Available in five weights of roman and italic types, Capitolina has a wide glyph palette that contains 800 glyphs in each font. The Art Nouveau styles of the the turn of the 20th century (1890 - 1905) exhibited a bold approach to organic lines and lavish decoration. This new style was spread throughout the world and helped usher in a new era that led to modern art and design. Art Nouveau SCF is strongly influenced by the style of decoration and typography created by Rennie Mackintosh as well as the Art Nouveau movement in general (with particular reference to Gustave Klimt and Alphonse Mucha). However, it differs from much of the art nouveau typography in that it largely avoids the use of straight lines in its letter forms. It is a decorative, romantic font and its subtly curved bolder lines contrast with delicate tracery to create an intricate pattern of organic flowing shapes. ITC Hedera's roots can be traced to a suite of initials intended for book design. Olivera Stojadinovic, the face's designer, made the first sketches for the initials with a handmade tool consisting of two flexible metal strips tied to a wooden handle. This makeshift pen created the distinctive uneven double strokes of the letterforms. Stojadinovic says that she tried to keep the original flavor of the sketches in the finished font. Stroke roughness has been preserved in final execution, though the characters had some cleaning and polishing," she notes. Based on Renaissance letterforms, ITC Hedera has a classical quality that complements its calligraphic exuberance. The name Hedera? According to Stojadinovic, "It's the name of a common ivy. I chose it because of the organic image of the character strokes, which, to me, resemble shapes from nature's leaves or stems of plants."
