Murs Gothic is a bold sans serif with sharp dynamic forms. It is a collective image of American Gothics from the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is quite massive, has tight letter spacing and increased contrast. Somewhere elongated, as well as asymmetric details give it a characteristic emotionality and playfulness. Especially against the backdrop of neutral geometric sans-serifs. The set comes with 694 glyphs. Among which are Latin and Cyrillic characters, a couple of ligatures, alternatives, geometric symbols, arrows and much more! Hyldemoer (in Nordic folklore) is a tree spirit, or nymph, who lives in elder trees. H.C. Andersen also wrote a story about Hyldemoer (‘The Little Elder-Tree Mother’ in English). Hyldemoer font is based on my Mysterious font and the first letters of the Beowulf manuscript (Hwæt! We Gardena…). Hyldemoer is a jumpy fairytale font, which comes with some interesting alternate glyphs and ligatures, plus a harvest of diacritics. Use it for your book covers, product packaging, posters and art work.

Rae's Monogram Family is a contemporary take on monograms. Rae's Monogram One letters are best used as the right and left letters. You can add Rae's Monogram Two for the middle letter. Rae's Monogram Doodles One are 50 small illustrations to use with the monogram. If you don't see the one you want take a look at over 1,000 others in Outside the Line's Doodle font library. Brian is a font (!) of knowledge and was of invaluable help by getting Aerolite to where it is today. Special care was taken in keeping the distinct character while as Aerolite Regular also providing a legible, thouroughly kerned body type which can be used in all sizes for large volume text." For the Pro version the kerning has been tweaked further, and the character set completed and expanded - and the alternate uppercase A (also with accents) is available as OpenType stylistic alternates. The main problem with handwritten fonts is the limited use in body text. Bodyhand is specifically designed to remedy this, for example when designing children's books with a larger amount of text or in similar contexts. Bodyhand is especially adapted to read comfortably even when used in small font size and requires approximately the same space as the fonts we usually use in body text, such as Times or Helvetica.

Superbrush is, well, a super brush font! Made with Chinese ink, a flat brush and a lot of patience. Superbrush would look great on book covers, product packaging, old school rock albums and T-shirts. Comes with a super amount of diacritics and double letter ligatures.

Varese Outlined is the perfect font for giving content a retro, dimensional, and playful feel. Use it for headlines or short body text for an optimistic or nostalgic tone. It comes in two variations, outlined and shadow. It has standard uncolored and colored options. Please see the slides to know what each color font is named. This geometric and modular typeface was inspired by Italian posters of the 1920s and 1930s. Its design playfully explores the boundaries between unity and variety. The blocky characteristics lend it well to tightly composed text either horizontally or vertically. The lowercase is similar in form to the uppercase, yet many of the lowercase letters have interior spaces (counterforms). It comes with standard ligatures; ff, fi, fl, ffl and three alternate glyphs for number 1. The color fonts in Varese Outlined are vector-based and in the fully scalable SVG OpenType format. Color fonts are supported by Photoshop 2017, Illustrator and InDesign 2018, and QuarkXPress 2018 (and later versions). Those who do not want a color font should purchase the files simply named “Regular” and “Outlined”. These will not have any color words in the names. Varese Outlined has two siblings; Varese and Varese Soft. The designer suggests pairing Varese Outlined with his ornamental fonts FormPattern or FormPattern Color Two, Three, or Six.

Spirited, unaffected and buoyant, the ITC Oldrichium type family pays homage to the calligraphy and typeface designs of Czech designer Oldrich Menhart. “I came upon one of Menhart's typefaces over a decade ago,” says George Thompson, designer of ITC Oldrichium. “I've been collecting examples of his work ever since.” Thompson was born in Chicago and grew up in north-west Indiana. “While I've been an educator and general graphic designer for over 30 years, lettering and type design have always been an important part of my work,” he says. Thompson now spends much of his free time designing typefaces. ITC Oldrichium is a subtle melding of the shapes and proportions of Menhart's Manuscript typeface, the energetic strokes of his calligraphy, and Thompson's own design skills. The result is a distinctive, powerful, and exceptionally versatile typeface family. Available in light, regular, demi bold and bold weights, with corresponding italics for all but the bold, ITC Oldrichium is comfortable setting both text and display copy. In addition to the basic weights, Thompson has created an Engraved version for those times when an especially powerful statement is called for.

When I released the original Organic in 2009, I was satisfied with it. It was what was possible from me and the technology at the time. The Organic Pro of 2021 takes those original desires of delivering a highly legible and friendly sans serif, and doubles down on those notions, while exploring what further infusing warmth in a highly structured sans serif can really do for a client. Free of distracting and potentially dating visual traits and cues that could be seen as endemic of a specific time period or ‘type trend’, Organic Pro is its own person—take it or leave it. Inviting warmth, assured reliability, and a head nod of confidence is what you walk away with—a stark contrast to the cold, impersonal geometrics and grotesques proliferating the design annuals currently. Releasing this typeface now, completely redrawing the masters, as well as expanding the weight and language options, should be seen as a laid back challenge that we need to do less with type, let it communicate confidently and warmly when it needs to, and stop forcing one-size-fits-all type trends on everyone.
