In fact Scala and Scala Sans (1990-1993) are two workhorse-like typefaces sharing a common form principle: the skeletons of both Scala and Scala Sans are identical, therefore they can be combined perfectly. Noris is the Latin name for the German city of Nuremberg, where Hermann Zapf was born and raised.
