EngelNewSans is sans serif family of 12 weights and an upgrade of the typeface Engel also published by Die Gestalten Verlag. The project began with an extension to the original Engel character set and freshening up the typeface to suit the OpenType format. EngelNewSerif came about as a sibling to EngelNewSans as a corresponding serif family also of 12 weights, matching those of EngelNewSans. Both families are designed for a wide usage in running text and headlines. EngelNewSans is an evolved version of the original Engel typeface, which undergone improvements to the individual letterforms and the overall look which resulted in this sans serif type family with a more mature confident character and with softer, rounder and more harmonious shapes. The characteristics between the two could perhaps, very fittingly, be compared to a person showing different sides to their personality at different stages in life. With EngelNewSans portraying the more mature role while the original Engel shows traits of a cool teenager with rough edges, not yet fully developed. To make the light weights function with serifs attached for EngelNewSerif, the same low stroke contrast as seen in EngelNewSans was applied. Further discovery found that the serifs and the stem width had to be optically similar for the light weights not to appear too fragile. In the heavy weights however, the stroke contrast was higher than in the Sans versions, this was done to open up the counters and make room for the serifs to breathe. The intention of the families is to motivate an element of play and give the designer a larger selection to work with.

The typeface was conceived when looking at the author’s own collection of Transformers, he noticed many basic drawing and spacing problems, missing characters, incorrect accent shapes and a lack of proper rhythm in the typeface used in the newest toy’s packaging, mistakes that didn't happen in the toys back in the 80s. Crossten Soft is a geometric sans single-spaced font with all typographic features except space and character spacing.

A Toverheks in Dutch means 'witch' - well, actually it means 'magic witch' (it doesn't translate well). The reason for this kind of weird name is the nature of the font: it reminded me of a book of spells - the kind witches use. Toverheks is a didone-ish style font with some jagged edges and curly curls. It would be ideal for books (about witches, say) or posters or even postcards! I have seen my share of badly stuffed animals. Most of them via pictures, but also on vacations here and there. They all had this really bad handcraft vibe, but at the same time some really ordinary and kind of cute looks. I did my best to capture this look and feeling in my Badly Stuffed Animal font: clumsy letters made with a blobbly pen, with naive and irregular lines - and the conclusion is something super useful for a project that needs an organic handmade look!

About family “StenoPro” Short for stenography… The name of the font was taken from the method of high-speed writing (shorthand) with a special alphabet. In shorthand, the rule "write as you hear" applies, that is, spelling is not observed. Capitalization, accents, ghosts, and punctuation except the semicolon are removed. "Shinobu" is an elegant psychedelic display font that combines characteristics of Art Nouveau and Modren San serif types. The name "Shinobu" comes from the anime character " Shinobu Kocho" from an anime called "Demon Slayer". One of the more elegant script fonts available, this design is based on calligraphic handwriting called "Copperplate" because of the copper plates that it was etched into for reproduction. This face is not related to Copperplate [Gothic] by the American type designer, F.W. Goudy. The name Copperplate comes from the fact that writing masters used to hand-write their books and then send them to an engraver who recreated all the subtle details onto copper plates, which where then used to print the handwriting books.

Hello i came back with a new product, this is Morthena Script, this is a copperplate style font that looks classic, vintage and retro but still looks elegant, luxurious and georgeous. Maybe I should have named this font “Communist Block”. But it also works well for Colonial-style tavern signs. It’s square, geometric and rigid, and is the perfect thing for totalitarian themes. The family consists of three fonts: Kolega (“Comrade” in Polish), Kolega Tall, and Kolega Podrobska (Fake Comrade). Kolega and Kolega Tall are fully charactered with U.S., European, Greek and Cyrillic glyphs. The latter font is meant to use in English only; although it contains many accents and character variations, they mean nothing. It’s a joke.

I don’t know about the weather on your side of the globe, but here it is mighty cold! I was trying out a new technique of font-making AND I was craving a pumpkin spice latte, so I named this font Spiced Pumpkin. Spiced Pumpkin is a rounded, thin, all caps typeface with a heart warming, ice melting attitude. It looks good on product packaging, book covers and postcards, so (in other words) give it a whirl and see what you’ll end up with!
