ITC Malstock is the work of Czech designer Frantisek Storm. The idea is based on a sign painting technique that uses a flat brush and a Maalstok, a long bar with soft padding which is used as a rest for the painter's hand and a guide for vertical lines. The strokes of this font end with a split stem which recalls the traces of the writer's brush. ITC Malstock is a narrow typeface which is ideal for headlines, invitations and advertisements. The designer recommends combining his typeface with others, to create harmony with sans serif typefaces in text sizes or contrast with serif typefaces.

Lalola (whose early version was released as ‘Lola’ by the spanish foundry Type-Ø-Tones in 1997) is a display typeface with strong attitude. It was inspired by a lettering model by Eugen Nerdinger and Lisa Beck. From a few letters of that model, Lalola became an original design and a single font, comprising all the necessary characters for languages based on the Latin alphabet. You can ‘say it loud’ with Lalola, either in lower or uppercase, yet with wit and a unique, distinctive friendly voice. Stripes is a caps only font and does not contain additional ligatures, because there is an easy way to create as many of them as you like. To form a ligature, convert your word or word string into vectors. Activate the corner points of the straight lines (not the round ones) of a letter and drag them over the next or the previous letter. This way you can create any ligature of your own. Beware of overkilling, it could decrease the legibility of your text. Besides the normal J, Stripes contains a stylistic alternate which should be used to avoid ugly gaps between critical letter pairs (see pdf document).

Oksana Sans Narrow is a space-saving addition for Oksana Sans Roman faces. In six weights from Thin to Heavy it works well in long as in short texts. In 1994, John Benson designed Balzano, Alexa and Caliban, three typefaces with a similar calligraphic character. Balzano differs from the other in its vertical figures, adding a static element to the otherwise lively, flowing components. Balzano is good for short texts and headlines, anywhere in which a personal, elegant look is desired.

Bodoni Classic Swirls breaks all the rules. The idea of Bodoni typefaces is no embellishments and here I go again and do another decorated set of Bodonis.
