Tenby is a series of modular geometric display sans serif fonts with a hint of Art Deco combined with a 1980s finish. The fonts' underlying grid is ten squares high. Their widths correspond to condensed (Tenby Four), normal (Tenby Five) semi-extended (Tenby Six), extended (Tenby Seven), and extra-extended (Tenby Eight). Each contains two weights, light and regular. Although smaller text sizes are still quite legible, the fonts work better at large sizes.

Lincoln Electric started its life as an in-house experimental film type Thomas Lincoln drew shortly after concluding his work as part of Herb Lubalin’s famed crew in the late 1960s,. The master alphabet was drawn on illustration boards using pen and ink and press-type lines. The typeface was initially made for use in the branding and promotional material of Lincoln’s new design outfit. This alphabet’s forms are a spin on Bifur, the all-cap deco face designed by Adolphe Mouron (known as Cassandre) in 1929, and published by the Deberny & Peignot foundry in France. Lincoln Electric evolves Cassandre’s idea further by constructing new shapes more in line with minimalist principles rather than art deco geometry — something clearly evident in Lincoln’s minuscules, which exhibit a clear connection to Bauhaus ideas More than 50 years after the typeface’s design, Thomas Lincoln found the original film alphabet tucked away in his archives and brought it over to Canada Type for digital retooling. According to the dictionary, the way a letter is formed or shaped within a writing system is an allograph... and Allograph JNL from Jeff Levine takes on unusual shapes. Using characters from Jeff's Printing Set JNL font, they were printed out white-on-black, and the paper was torn into abstract pieces and then scanned in order to create this edgy looking font.

Knuckleball is a wonky, octagonal sans-serif typeface produced by Bebop Font Foundry in 2023. The font shares its name with the elusive knuckleball - a baseball term for a pitch that is thrown without spin. The throw is erratic and unpredictable due to the airflow over the motionless seams. Linotype Grafilone is part of the Take Type Library, which features winners of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contest. In creating his font, Bo Berndal combined elements of the constructed and Art Deco styles. Slender and angular, Grafilone is mechanically exact and coolly resesrved. A distinguishing characteristic is the combination of angular and sloping strokes, which give the font a dynamic feel. Grafilone is particular good as a headline font and for initials when combined with constructed sans serif fonts.

Woodford Bourne is a brand new 19th century grotesque typeface. The design is a tribute to the historic stone cast type in the building façades of the former Woodford, Bourne & Co. in Cork City, Ireland. For many years I had admired the type’s simplicity and strength, so I decided to faithfully reproduce those letters and expand them to a fully working font with 500 glyphs per case. A key feature of Woodford Bourne is the ability to change the feel of your typography with just one click. New Millennium is one of three font families that share a common name, a common design philosophy, a common x-height, and basic character shapes. (The others are New Millennium Sans and New Millennium Linear; all three work well together.) New Millennium is a serif face of what some might describe as a "modern style." But although it has flat serifs, it differs markedly from, say, Bodoni or Didot -- especially in the italic, which is a radical departure from tradition. (The bold styles are in fact sans-serif, identical to those of New Millennium Sans.) There's also a nice, dark Headline style for display text.
