Mesclo is our personal take on the geometric typefaces genre. With mono-linear appearance, humanistic elements and subtle hints of Art Deco, Mesclo is a timeless typeface with dramatic oblique terminals and a welcoming, friendly roundness. The outstanding dynamic rhythm and legibility of the text contrasts with the inflexible geometry of the unusual complementary caps-only typefaces, specially developed to fulfil and enrich this type family.

This fresh face takes a number of design cues from Tomás Vellvé Mengual's eponymous design for Barcelona's Neufville Type Foundry in 1971. This version softens many of the lines of the original, and warms the design up overall with rounded terminals. Available in three weights, this font contains the complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252) plus support for Central European (Unicode 1250) languages as well.

Erich Heckel (1883 - 1970) was a German painter and printmaker. He was a founding member of Die Brücke (The Bridge), a group of German expressionists. Heckel font somewhat resembles the loose (and messy) handwriting Erich Heckel used in some of his drafts.

Before ink jet and laser printers; before copy machines, the main way to make multiples of anything not provided by printing press was by a mimeograph machine or spirit duplicator. The mimeograph utilized a porous drum which inked the backside of a waxed stencil sheet. Unlike traditional stencils which have cut out areas that are directly inked or painted, a mimeo stencil has the area to be printed scratched away by removing the wax coating with a stylus. The resulting image allows the ink from the drum to seep through the sheet and transfer to the blank paper. Based on a plastic lettering guide once manufactured by the A.B. Dick Company of Chicago, Mimeograph Template JNL is available in regular and oblique versions. Albert Blake Dick, the company’s founder, coined the term ‘mimeography’. The font’s character shapes follow the routed letters of the template, complete with rounded terminals. An earlier font release [designed with flat terminals and some alternate characters] is available as Interoffice Memo JNL.

Donnerstag conveys power and personality with its strong slab letterforms and ball terminals. Donnerstag's seven different weights give it a great deal of versatility, from its beefy and masculine black weight to the delicate and feminine hairline. Hangtime Rad and Extra were designed with surf posters in mind, a subject close to my heart as an avid sailboarder and surfer. Its slightly raked (3 degrees) yet vertical appearance makes for compact setting with extreme impact. Hangtime exhibits some quirky terminal features, its shortened upstrokes are balanced by the lengthened strokes of others providing unusually consistent spacing. Best applied to display situations but is readable at text sizes.

Cheddar Gothic Sans Two is a hand-drawn, multi-weight display family. An all-caps, sans serif typeface with condensed proportions that works great for a variety of display uses. The uppercase characters add distinction with extended crossbars and chiseled terminals, while the lowercase provides a more classic sans serif appearance. This family is an expanded version of the original Cheddar Gothic Sans, with more weights and even broader language support.

This typeface is inspired by 60s and 70s Chilean murals and posters artwork. On the walls, big and heavy letterforms were presented pictorially for political propaganda. Quiche Sans is a high-contrast, sans serif with monoline stroke endings, angled stems, and geometric proportions. A sibling to the Quiche family, with the ball terminal endings removed. Justus Erich Walbaum was a German punchcutter who worked in Weimar around 1800. He produced both serif and blackletter typefaces. Walbaum Fraktur" is based on his famous blackletter-style type (called Fraktur in German). Walbaum Fraktur is an excellent font for anything old-fashioned, Northern European, or typographically quirky."
