Mayonez is a typeface with rational structure and axis but softened with rounded contours and cupped serifs, getting as result a balance between seriousness and friendliness. The shapes have a soft appearance but without lacking definition. A more fluid structure influenced by calligraphy is proposed for the italic variants, in this case the uppercase letters adopted a simplified semiserif structure that works better with the lowercase letters. Also the figures are very different from the roman version and follow more faithfully the italic style. In an attempt to give Cyrillic lowercase romans a fresh look, symmetrical serifs inherited from the versal tendency are mostly avoided thus getting simpler structures closer to the latin forms. This type is good for commercial and editorial uses like advertising, packaging and pages with showy headlines where a warm touch wants to be given. The character set includes a group of figures and currency symbols with standard height and another suited to match better with lowercase letters. Mayonez was selected to be part of the Communication Arts Typography annual in 2015.

Prototype is a typeface with a very contemporary identity crisis—is it old or new? uppercase or lowercase? serif or sans-serif? Prototype tries to be all things to all people. There have been many attempts at creating a universal typeface, one that rationalises the alphabet and removes the inconsistencies of upper and lower case, applying an unreasonable logic to something that has grown organically ...and is already perfectly usable! Prototype was the same experiment carried out at a time when design was experiencing an identity crisis of its own—letterforms that try to be all things to all people but end up being something else entirely.

The name Dash Wisher is a wordplay. The letters of the font are also quite playful - you never know what comes next, when typing. There is no exact x-heigh, the baseline is jumpy, the descender and ascender are messed up...there are no real rules for Dash Wisher! But with all that in mind, it comes out surprisingly legible, which means it does have a wide range of use. Jessie's Letter is based on an old typed letter by Kerrie's great step grandmother. This letter was undated, but we think it must have been from the 1920s or so. Jessie wasn't much for punctuation, so there aren't any of those pesky question marks and exclamation points. But, she did make mistakes in her typing, so we've included cross outs and strange resulting characters to make up for the lack of everyday punctuation. Maybe Jessie wanted to visit Paris, or maybe she secretly made paintings in her back yard, or maybe she dreamed of painting her house bright pink. Well, maybe not, but it's fun to dream...

Quintet is a narrow, stylized sans serif font made up of thin, looping lines. This font tries to walk the line between retro and modern and to incorporate some hand drawn imperfections without being too obvious about it. I kicked off designing without any particular inspiration in mind but, as time went on, started associating it in my head with an old-timey, swingy jazz aesthetic. So hopefully it captures the spirit of the Jeeves and Wooster throwback theme song and opening credits, the music of Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt (who the name is a nod to), and countless album covers from that era.

Spotlight was created by British designer Tony Geddes in the tradition of the bold serif fonts of early 19th century England. It too is a robust alphabet exhibiting extreme stroke contrasts, however, Geddes gave his font a more relaxed feel by not filling in the strokes completely. Long white rays break up the otherwise dark black strokes, following the form of the outer contours and giving the figures a three dimensional look. Spotlight is also reminiscent of the decorative advertisements of the 1930s and of the glamorous revues and shows of this time. Spotlight is perfect for headlines and display in larger point sizes.

Linotype Salamander is a part of the Take Type Library, selected from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. Designed by German artist Michael Struller, the font seems to be composed of strokes and curves jointed together to form characters. Yet Salamander also looks like a handwriting font, in part because of its slight lean to the right. The font contains four basic weights, from regular to demibold, and two particularly heavy double-weights.
