Freie Initialen are derived from initials made for the Stempel Garamond series. The type was issued in 1928 in three sizes (36, 48, and 60 pt); the AR version follows the 60-pt design.

Palitura is a display typeface designed to translate Cyrillic flavor into the Latin script. Palitura means lacquered book cover in Old Ukrainian. The design of letter shapes is inspired by Early Cyrillic handwritten letters and Ukrainian patterns that are conveyed through the sharpness of form, vertical strokes that are narrower at the bottom, stylized oblique hooks at the top, and triangular accents. Fact is a workhorse open sans serif type system. It is inspired by the great Frutiger typeface. While the Regular style is slightly modernized but still quite close to Frutiger, changing the weight or width makes differences of the design more pronounced. The style range of Fact is wider than of any cognate type family, including weights from Thin to Black and widths from Compressed to Expanded. Fact type system contains 48 upright styles and 48 italics with variations in width and weight. The font was designed by Alexandra Korolkova and Manvel Shmavonyan and released by Paratype in 2018-2019.

Another caps-only font for which we have designed a lowercase. It was originally brought out in smaller sizes for card work, but proved to be so popular that sizes up to 48 point were soon added.

Originally made in seven sizes, 6 to 48 point. Our font was digitized from the 24 point which we found in 1947 in a Sparks, Nevada, newspaper shop. Typical of the late nineteenth century types for job printers, where the rule was “never start a line with a font used in the line above”.

The historical source to Bad Situation comes from "EXAMPLES OF MODERN ALPHABETS, PLAIN and ORNAMENTAL; including German, Old English, Saxon, Italic, Perspective, Greek, Hebrew, Court Hand, Engrossing, Tuscan, Riband, Gothic, Rustic, and Arabesque, etc." Collected and engraved by F. Delamotte, and first published in 1864. The original alphabet was called "Example Alphabet" (plate 48), by Delamotte.

New Comer Sans is a combination of two ideas. First is my speed writing with flat acrylic marker on boards. And second is to make new bold font something like puffy «comic sans» font. William Caslon established the first major English typefoundry, re-creating earlier Dutch designs with excellent craftsmanship, color and rhythm. Caslon Old Face is one of many faithful revivals; the original matrices (from many hands; the lowercase of the 48 point is Moxon’s 1669 Great Canon) survive at Stephenson Blake. George Ostrochulski adapted this design for photocomposition at Mergenthaler with skill and understanding.

Here’s a different take on my face Jungle Fever, patterned after Neuland Black, originally designed by Rudolph Koch for Gebr. Klingspor in 1923. A “sunrise” shading pattern has been employed to add visual impact and warmth to headlines. Best used in sizes of 48 point and above. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

Diamond Jim JNL was inspired [in part] by an image of a 1970s Letraset® dry transfer typeface made entirely of small stars. By creating his own layout using tiny diamond shapes, Jeff Levine has produced a font that takes on multiple appearances. At 24 point it resembles dot matrix printing; at 48 point the diamonds are clearly visible; and overall, the design has a distinctive 70s retro feel. Limited character set.
