The figures of this font have pieces missing, the curve of an a, the stroke of an n. The eye fills in the gaps, allowing the designer to present a unique font with reductionist forms which can still communicate written ideas to the reader. A small number of forms come together to create the alphabet and the 'missing pieces' make a light and airy overall impression. Blue Sugar is a grunge font which has one letter-shape in white set within a different grunge letter-shape in black. The Regular and Dirty versions have their characters in conventionally upright positions; and there are 3 varieties with the characters in various states of disorder and at slightly varied angles and sizes - called Twirled and Whirled. The careful details and figures of the alphabet turn into UFOs and space ships from another world when set in very large point sizes. Linotype Startc is best for very short texts and headlines.

Stripated is an informal funky font mainly for distinctive headlines and posters, or similar display work. There's still all the features you'd expect like Class Kerning and accented characters, ligatures for ffi, ffl and so on, and a few other extras. Years before the "Jet Age", and way before computers and satellite television turned us into jaded "armchair travelers", the ocean voyage aboard giant steamships to distant ports of call beckoned many to travel the Seven Seas.
