Densit is a display mega black typeface, containing 6 styles. It aims for a ultimate density with a maximum weight on a minimum place. Glyphs therefore balances on a slim border of touch. Milton Glaser’s Kitchen Typeface from the mid 1970s exemplifies the bold 3-D art deco revival genre that was a trademark of the Glaser style. This typeface resulted from his involvement in the design of the The Big Kitchen in the World Trade Center’s concourse in New York City. The new P22 Glaser Kitchen takes on the technical challenge of overlapping 3-D shadows by offering two styles. P22 Glaser Kitchen Regular is spaced out so that the shadows do not overlap the white spaces of the neighboring letters. Whereas the P22 Glaser Kitchen 3D Fill and 3D Shadow can be used layered on top of one another to achieve the tight spacing intended by Glaser. P22 Glaser Kitchen was based on original drawings and phototype proofs from the Milton Glaser Studios archives. Typographic punctuation and sorts were imagined by James Grieshaber to work with Glaser’s design, as well as diacritics to accommodate most European languages. Over the years there have been many typefaces that borrowed heavily from the Glaser designs, but these are the only official fonts approved by Milton Glaser Studio and the Estate of Milton Glaser.

ITC Japanese Garden Ornaments is a symbol font designed by Akira Kobayashi (before Kobayashi became Linotype's Type Director in 2001, he worked as an independent typeface designer in Tokyo). The images in Japanese Garden are, as the name suggests, mostly floral or herbaceous, derived from designs used in Japanese indigo stencil dyeing. In Japanese Garden," Kobayashi says, "I tried to create a set of type fleurons that are very familiar to a Japanese eye, but not too exotic to people in other countries." Several of the designs fit together seamlessly in repeating patterns; others work either together or as isolated ornaments, a flexibility that also characterizes traditional Western type fleurons. "The original illustrations," notes Kobayashi, "were mostly cut from white paper squares, about two by two inches in size, and were simply scanned and traced. That is why there are few smooth curves and perfectly straight lines in the illustrations. I simply liked the ragged textures of them.""

The Superior Marking Equipment Company was originally located in Chicago, Illinois and over the years produced a line of both commercial and toy rubber stamp printing sets which were used for making signs, posters, tickets and other printed items. Rough Print JNL reproduces the scanned images printed from one of the toy rubber stamp sets. The sample characters were smaller than one half inch in height and were further reduced during scanning. This gives the end result of a typeface which looks like rubber stamp imprints at small sizes, and very angular, distorted, somewhat grunge type when printed at larger sizes. There is a limited character set consisting of alphabet, numerals, some punctuation and currency symbols. No kerning was added to keep the hand-made appeal. Rough Print JNL is an all caps font with the letters and numbers jogged randomly on both the caps and lower case keystrokes. For a similar design with lower case, Amateur Printer JNL is recommended.

This set of initial decorated letters is an entirely original creation, drawn inspired by Italian renaissance engraver Vespasiano Amphiareo's paterns published in Venice circa 1568. It contains two roman alphabets : the first of large Initials, the second of small caps. Both containing thorn, eth, L & l slash, O & o slash. It can be used as variously as web-site titles, posters and flyers design, publishing texts looking like ancient ones, or greeting cards, all various sorts of presentations, as a very decorative, elegant and luxurious additional font... This font is conceived for enlargements remaining very smart and fine. The original height of the initials is at least about one inch equivalent to about four lines of characters, small caps may have the same height than the caps of the font used with, but cover two lines is better. This font may be used with all GLC blackletter fonts, but preferably with "1543 Humane Jenson", "1557 Italic", "1742 Civilite", "1776 Independence" without any fear for doing anachronism.

What intrigued me about Buslingthorpe was the virtuoso challenge it presented, of designing a typeface that would, despite a ridiculously tiny x-height, still possess a coherent harmony betwen upper and lower case, and read confortably. At the same time, beyond pure plastic formality, I was aware that there are strong connotations of historicism in this noble style, with overtones of regal magnificence, on account of the extravagant leading and generous point size required for adequate visibility—in traditional letterpress printing such proportions, with so few characters per square inch, were pricey and devoured resources. There are two iconic early 20th century designs in the genre: Koch Antiqua (Rudolf Koch, Klingspor Foundry, 1922) and Lucian (Lucian Bernhard, Bauer Foundry, 1925). Both these have x-heights smaller than fifty percent of ascender height, which nominally defines the category. Narevik consists of 7 styles -- 4 uprights (including black) and 3 italics. It’s a type of dynamic low contrast design with slightly rounded triangle serifs and drops which conveys to it a certain peculiarity. The vertical strokes have gentle intasis that brings additional softness to the shapes. The family was created by Armenian designer Manvel Shmavonyan and got its name after his daughters Nare and Arevik. It can be used in text composition as well as in display matters. Released by ParaType in 2011.

The box cover of “Drawing Stencils No. 3 for Use on Slate or Paper” [a children’s drawing set produced by Montgomery, Ward & Company of Chicago circa the 1890s] had its title in an elegant spurred Roman type face. Working from the few letters available, a complete character set was created that resulted in Antique Packaging JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. To note, this is the 1500th font release from Jeff Levine Fonts since its inception in January of 2006.

I drew this font staying true to the original design. The letter table in the relevant book was taken as reference. Viktor Solt-Bittner drew logo sketches for an insurance company. Luckily for Schriftlabor, they rejected the design, and he turned the sketches into a font family. Years later, Plantago was expanded, developed and completed by Schriftlabor’s type directors Franziska Hubmann and Lisa Schultz. Plantago shows delicate leaf-like stroke endings and subtle curvings and offers condensed and wide variants. Typeset in 6 weights from Light to Black, 3 widths from Condensed to Extended, both upright and italic, totaling in no less than 36 styles.

This is an angular typeface inspired by axonometric construction diagrams (for flat-pack furniture), particularly the way their lines impart a sense of 3-D space. The horizontal, vertical, and diagonal constraints of stroke direction produce interesting results in characters such as the 'R', 'S', and 'V' and contribute the mechanical appearance of this typeface. There is a high degree of repetition amongst different characters (upper and lower case) for instance the ’M’ and ‘W’ are similar and so are the ’m’ and ‘w’.

Lumios Brush is a new addition to the Lumios Extended Font Family. It was written with Pilot Brush Pen on a glossy paper (which allows a really smooth brush movements) and then carefully digitized. Just like Lumios Marker, its Brush sibling has multilingual (including basic cyrillic) support. This typeface was inspired in my dragon drawings, I like dragons and I thought in designing a special font with that inspiration. As the picture tells it, I gave a beveled shape to its terminals, looking like brush traces. Some characters are intentionally opened to give it a distinctive appearance. The number "3" has a different form, combining a wide angle and an opened circle, variating the way to make it. This font is special for some titles and it can even be used in comic dialogues.

The inspiration source for MFC Thornwright Monogram is a beautiful letterset from the "Manuel de Broderies No. 179" by N. Alexandre & Cie. from the late 1800's. Thornwright Monogram is capable of automatic 3-letter monogram formatting as well as bare & floral styles utilizing Ligature & Stylistic Alternates features. We've included both the bare and the original florally adorned versions of the Capitals to offer more design versatility.
