MIR Next is a growing multi-script type family best described by the terms “humanist–semi–slab-serif”. Its character set contains Latin and Cyrillic, both extended, as well as Greek, covering more than 100 languages. Strong personality along with consistency between language systems were a basic aim when designing the family. As a result MIR has become a great tool for branding and international identities. A wide choice of symbols and numbers makes it also very useful for statistics, texts about mathematics and the sciences. Serious things are best be said in an unpretentious, relaxed way. MIR gives typography exactly that kind of appearance. Its texts emit a sense of authority but stay easily accessible at the same time. MIR’s name comes from the old Russian word Мир meaning both “world” and “peace” – a unity we will hopefully take for granted sometime in the future.

I've been in a vintage-meets-modern mood in my most recent font construction, and this is no exception. Whiskey Tango is a fun retro-style tall and narrow sans-serif font with a scoop of variety: it includes over 110 items in the Private Use Area, including small caps, alternates, ligatures, and ordinal indicators. There's just enough imbalance in stroke widths to make this font a little goofy and quirky, and really charming. All of the lines and curves are clean and sharp, making it great for text that's large, medium, or small. And it's great for crafting as well! As usual for me, this font contains over 300 extended Latin characters for language support, as well as full uppercase and lowercase sets of Greek and Cyrillic characters. And everything, as always, is fully PUA-encoded so all characters are easy to access, no matter what method you use.

Kontrast Grotesk represents a contrast in type design based on a different principle. It was inspired by W. A. Dwiggins and his experiments with the stroke variations. Contrast in this typeface is created not only with the influence of the writing tool (the thickness of horizontal strokes in relation to vertical), but by setting the primary and secondary construction strokes of the characters (e.g. glyph “E”). The grotesque types are usually with no or minimal contrast. Having the contrast has created a new and original look of this typeface without compromising the legibility. New Kakuji is designed from the Kakuji style of characters originating during the Edo period of Japan. New Kakuji has expanded the historical character set to include the surnames from the ancient Chinese text: Hundred Family Surnames, as well as the most common surnames in Japan, in addition to many other historically and culturally significant words, going well beyond the scope of characters that were used in the Edo period. No other font has expanded the character set of the Kakuji Style to the same extent as New Kakuji. A Latin alphabet expansion inspired by the old Kakuji style has also been included for western audiences and designers. New Kakuji contains over 500 Chinese/Japanese characters along with over 200 additional Latin characters or symbols. Give your documents a sense of history. The study of the ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics has been an ongoing fascination by scholars and Egyptology buffs for literally centuries. The discovery of the Rosetta stone in 1799 provided an incredible breakthrough in deciphering the hieroglyphs, however there continues to be conflicting opinions on the literal translation of both the phonetic and ideographic symbols. As such, the interpretation provided in this manual represents an assembly of the most popular transcriptions. This series contains 62 assorted gods and deities as well as a few well known kings or pharaoh's from the New Dynasty. It is important to note that most of the gods and deities were represented in many different forms throughout the centuries and regions of Ancient Egypt, and these are but some of these representations. NOTE: this font comes with an interpretation guide in pdf format.

Eksperiment is danish for experiment. Without much guessing or knowledge to danish, you probably already knew that! I like those danish words containing a "k" - is it because my name is spelled with a "k"? I don't know - maybe it's because it kind of represents the danish language, which is full of words with "k"s. Anyway, the reason for the name is that I wanted a font looking like it had gone through tough times, a bad copy machine and perhaps even crumpled paper...but the experiment is that the font is 100% made using digital media. I used my MacBook and my iPad creating this font. I find it quite amusing, that something 100% digital looks like something organic. I've added 5 different versions of each letter, which is really helpful when working with grunge fonts. It looks more natural, when the same letter rarely repeats itself.
