"Heart on a string" is from a song by Paul McCartney, and is one of his romantic ones. I tried to do the same by creating a font that has the same romantic feeling.

As its name suggests, Multiple is a family with multiple font styles. The idea that sums up the concept behind the typeface is “workhorse”. The challenge was to develop a useful font fit for any scenario and suitable for any design needs: editorial design, packaging, branding, screen use, etc. Multiple features soft, rounded shapes and large counterforms which make it well-suited for both text and display usage. The proportions are based on classic typefaces yet its design was specially created to provide a high degree of versatility. Multiple contains different stylistic sets whose variety of glyphs provides a wide range of choices for any design project. Gerard Unger’s new typeface Alverata is a twenty-first-century type-face inspired by the shapes of romanesque capitals in inscriptions of the eleventh and twelfth centuries, without being a close imitation of them. It is additionally based on the early twentieth-century model, but tweaked so as to prevent blandness and monotony. Alverata performs beautifully in both screen and on paper, delivering excellent legibility. Its letters are open and friendly in small sizes and lively and attractive in large sizes. They are robust, and show refinement in their detail. It is an extensive type family, with versions for both formal and informal applications. Alverata consists of three different fonts: Alverata, Alverata Informal and Alverata Irregular, that variate in form and width, but maintain the same spirit. The ‘irregular’ version is particularly inspired by the Insular letterforms, the uncials, and their constantly changing positioning. Alverata PanEuropean includes Greek and Cyrillic relatives. The typeface strikes a balance among Europe’s diversity of languages, combining contemporary typographical practices with features of medieval letterforms, from the time when Europe came into being. Visually, some written languages, such as Czech and Maltese, differ quite strongly from languages like English and German, notably because of their many accented characters. While other typefaces will show this difference, Alverata removes it. As a result, Alverata enables harmonious convergence of languages.

Night Visions: An Unsettling Hand-Drawn Brush Script Font Night Visions is a hand-drawn script font with a loose style typical of late night horror and thriller movie posters. It’s designed to look as though ink has been laid with the nervous flick of the artists brush, giving a random, imperfect, but elegant result. This font comes with the flowing script of the regular version or a complete set of non-script alternatives. Added to which there are additional character alternatives and special ligatures to experiment with for a truly hand-made look. Each version comes with a full set of uppercase and lowercase characters along with numerals, punctuation and language support. Turbayne is an all caps serif display revival of book cover titling originally drawn by A.A. Turbayne in 1896 London. Expanding upon the original drawings, Turbayne includes basic Latin, western and south eastern European language support, and includes opentype features such as ligatures, stylistic alternates, and even ornaments. Reflecting the refinement of the late Victorian era without being gaudy, it is perfect for designing headlines, labels, logotypes, posters, invitations, t-shirts and so much more.

Calamity Wayne is a reverse-contrast slab serif, inspired by the ‘wild west’ French Clarendons (aka Italians or Egyptians) of the late-1800s. Despite the idiosyncrasies that make it ideal for display and headline uses, it is also surprisingly legible in text settings. Calamity Wayne supports Latin, Cyrillic and Greek, and is available in OTF and TTF formats. Life was designed in 1964 by W. Bilz and marks the beginning of a new generation of newsprint fonts. The Ionic style had replaced Modern Face and was now replaced by this new innovative style, which mixed elements of Old Face, Transitional and Modern Face forms. Life’s characters are based on the forms of Times and are the result of a time of change and experimentation.

The idea for this font family, derived from SMS text message faces (Emojis) and found photographs of faces collected over the last ten years. The concept for this project was to a create text-face characters using only the glyphes found in a standard version of a Sans Serif typeface. There are 36 different Textfaces. Available in three weights, Regular, Bold and a Stencil version.

Lisboa Hebrew is humanist sans-serif typeface base on the same design as the original Lisboa (2005). The main structure is more close to the Sephardic proportions, where the letterforms contains reverse contrast and the terminals following the same calligraphic approach (Humanist). There are some characters and figures designed as small caps which have the same proportions from Hebrew. Latin transliteration characters were also included.

The types are now offered for general sale. Each style (roman, small capitals, italic, semi-bold, bold) contains Cyrillic and ‘polytonic’ Greek letters and letters for many European languages (Czech, Hungarian, Icelandic, Lettish, Polish, Romanian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Welsh etc.), non-kerning fs, long ſ, ligatures and fractions. Alternative forms are supplied in ‘B’ versions of each style. A set of swash letters and sets of superiors, inferiors, fractions and phonetic letters are also offered. Two ‘Special’ fonts (roman and italic) containing special accents, letters for transliteration, Vietnamese letters, mathematics signs and symbols, arrows, commercial signs, pictograms, figures in circles, scansion marks, braces & benzene rings and the Rafaeli-Meruba Hebrew letters, as well as Latin, Cyrillic and Greek letters, are included in the Fabrizio family.
