Based on the type style used for the Superior Sign and Chart Printer No. 929, this simple and clean sans serif font was perfectly suited for use by teachers in the classroom and for businesses and organizations that needed to make signs, price cards, charts and notices. In 1525, Albrecht Dürer, the well known German great artist, was publishing the so-called “Underweysung der Messung mit dem Zirckel und Richtscheyt”, printed in Nuremberg. This handbook explained with numeral figures how to draw with a compass and ruler. A large part is devoted to the drawing of Roman characters, which can be used as decorative initials. We are offering two complete historical initial sets and also have entirely redrawn the missing letters: J, U and W, Eth, Lslash, Thorn and Oslash in the two forms, using the Dürer style. Crisis is a child of the dictatorship of economics. Since time is money the time budget of its production has been rigidly limited. Crisis was designed and generated completely on one single day. The target was to make a useful font while investing nothing more than absolutely indispensable. The component-based glyph construction scheme of another font has been utilized, further detailing work has been strictly limited. Due to those restrictions some letters have rather unusual shapes. This straightforward and contemporary sans (320 glyphs) is of compact proportions and very legible even when set in small sizes. In printing you get more text on one page and thus save up to 30% of paper.

This family was created from the set of font faces used in Lima (Peru) by Antonio Ricardo in 1584 for the first publication ever printed in Southern America: a four-page leaflet in Spanish entitled "Pragm·tica sanciÛn" with information about the new Georgian calendar of 1582 which had not yet been communicated to the colonies. In our two styles (Regular & Italic), font faces, kernings and spacing are as close as possible to the original. 19th Century Retro is a re-design of an official German font style (called ‘Fraktur’) which was used in official documents in the 19th and early 20th century. There is an alternative small letter ‘s’ which you generate by typing the @ sign. This alternative letter was the original small letter s which was printed in the middle and at the beginning of a word originally (for example in the words ‘slightly’ and ‘best’). However, if the s was at the end, the normal small letter s was used (for example in the words ‘it's’ and ‘columns’). For readability reasons I decided to put the normal small letter s onto the s-key on your keyboard.

Sztos (2018-2022) is a remix of one of the most famous grotesques used in Poland – Baccarat (published by Jan Idźkowski i S-ka in 1922). My version loosely refers to the original. On the one hand, I wanted to modernize the drawing and proportions, on the other hand, I did’t want to lose the historical flavour and details in which you can still feel traditional printing. In addition to the fairly wide version of the normal style, there is also a narrow version. Thanks to this contrast, Sztos gives the possibility of expressive combinations of different styles. This font is a late work of the famous Berlin font artist Martin Wilke. Presented by Linotype AG in 1988, Wilke is a lively font with eccentric, playful forms. Wilke was influenced in part by the letters of the Irish handwriting in the Book of Kells, written in the late 8th century, while the pronounced contrast in strokes goes back to the styles of the 18th century. the font’s uniqueness is particularly emphasized when used in larger point sizes.

Back when shop window decoration was done with a brush, every window designer had his own style. In this vein the sans serif Altrincham was created. But even as a text font, it has stood the test of time, since it is very easy to read even in smaller point sizes, thanks to its relatively large x-height. With the Altrincham Condensed and Altrincham Wide Bold two other fonts have been created to perfectly complement the font family.

The slab serif Waterloo Bold was designed by Alan Meeks. He chose unique and individual forms to give this alphabet its unmistakable character. The cross strokes of the capitals are not in the optical center, the serifs have light furrows, and the figures have a slight slant tot he right, giving this font a dynamic, flowing look. Waterloo Bold is reminiscent of cigars, whiskey and the 1930s and should be used only in headlines in large point sizes.

GeometricoSlab. Round with strong serifs. Should it express power? Geometric and Slabserifs: a relatively rare combination. GeometricoSlab takes its cue from Herb Lubalin’s typeface family of the same name, and by using optical corrections with restraint, it looks a touch more uncompromising. The flexible, partly asymmetrical arrangement of the serifs avoids an overly heavy effect. A handlettered headline in the January 1953 issue of Park East magazine by wacko album artist Jim Flora provided the inspiration for this exercise in extreme lettering. Check out the [brackets] and the bullet point... like, endsville, daddy-o. Due to the complexity of this typeface, the font has no math operators. The Postscript and Truetype versions contain a complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252); in addition, the Opentype version supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages as well.

The pLatinum family was created in 1998. Ink, scanner, Fontographer and as a result Regular and Italic styles of pLatinum typeface. Kyrillitsa'99 International type design competition Award winning typeface. The design style is “Irregular Serif”. The glyphs of pLatinum roman are reminiscent of the Russian types of early eighteenth century—especially in the smaller point sizes. An Italic, surprisingly close to the handwriting copybooks of mid-eighteenth century, is a later addition to the design.

Shababa is a hand-drawn 3-D font. The linework is fairly relaxed, mostly smooth with some distressed edges. There is lots of texturing from the pen strokes which becomes more evident at larger point sizes. This looseness enhances the smooth technicality of the properly extruded forms. With extended codepages for Cyrillic, Romanian, Turkish, Baltic & Central Europe, Shababa is suitable for multilingual environments & publications. The basic letterforms of this typeface were found in a lettering book, Rotalución Decorativa, published in Barcelona in the 1940s. Add a lowercase and a few flourishes suggested by a hand-painted sign seen at a neighborhood tavern on Staten Island, and you have a seriously fun face. To add even more spice, the font also contains alternate characters in the Logical Not, ASCII circumflex and tilde positions. It also contains a few alternate characters in the ASCII circumflex and tilde positions to perk things up. Both versions of the font contain characters to support all major European languages.
