Hi, I'm printing my wedding invties (which must go out Monday) and my computer crashed. I'm trying to re-dowload the fonts I chose onto another computer, but I can't for the life of me remember the names...!!! Fortunately I'd saved a sample of them earlier to show my fiance... Please help me identify them!
I know the top one -- that's The King and Queen. It's the middle and bottom one that I can't remember, though I could swear the middle one was named Montague something. (No help--the font that comes up when I googles that is definitely not the right one.)
TIA!!!!!!!!!!

I changed it to GRAY8 bitmap and result is still the same - 4 as bufsize. That's what it's value is before I call it the second time. I checked the return value of GetLastError(), and it was zero. I guess this means there wasn't any error(?!). It would have returned a non-zero value after some error. And the fonts are not corrupted!! I had tried changing fonts and sizes earlier, and this time also, but the return value is always four bytes. Don't ask me the exact error message, cos I dunno how to use FormatString() for this! But GetLastError()'s return value was zero.
If the trouble is with memory DCs, read that part about CDC::CreateCompatibleDC() with NULL as argument, it had something which I din't understand - When a memory device context is created, GDI automatically selects a 1-by-1 monochrome stock bitmap for it. GDI output functions can be used with a memory device context only if a bitmap has been created and selected into that context.[/b:b4086b634e] I don't think so, but could the trouble due to this? I have another doubt - will GetStockObject() be required for this?
Looks like I'll have to go ahead with GGO_NATIVE unless we find some solution soon enough! :D

do you have a lot of trouble with those 100? do you get a lot of complaints/problems? is it worth investing the time into it?

The people like us, who are in design or development, are often facing a big problem in choosing right font. As the internet has many free download sources so we have thousands of fonts in your PC. Once I used to face problem to find a good front from my huge collection. But it took ages long time as I didn’t have any Font Explorer. Finally I found a cool tool called “FontExpert 2007” and it’s really great. That’s why I wanted to share this cool tool with my friends.
You can easily download it from here: http://www.proximasoftware.com/fontexpert/
And if you have a better one then feel free to share with us :-)

The link you gave links to an illegal copy. That is something that is 'not-done' here. I have replaced your link with a link to a legal trial download.

@skulls:
Alex' timezone is EST, thus 6 hours behind Italy. Also Alex has more things to do - like making a living - than only watching this forum. And Alex likes fishing so is not always behind the screen. All in all it depends on the time (your time) of uploading and Alex seeing it. When uploading it is always better to also add a comment so that Alex actually sees that a font has been uploaded.
Normally a new upload, a font or a bat, gets approved within 24 hours but as you can see from the above, sometimes it can take longer. I figure you deleting your first post with the (huge) pict of a foot did not help speeding up the process ...
