 Hey there-
I came across this about 18 months ago - it was used for The Smashing Pumpkins' 2000 single "The Everlasting Gaze". It's by T-26, and it's called La Figura.
It's gorgeous, is it not?

Well I posted on the forum asking if anyone knew what the name of the font used on The Smashing Pumpkins Adore Album was...
In reply I received a copy of Novella in my mailbox, which (AT THE TIME!) I was more than happy to accept and keep on the down-low so to speak.
At that time I made websites and graphics, but didn't think about creating fonts myself, and I guess I assumed that fonts were generated, or that type designers made bucoo bucks so what would it matter if one little sale to little old me slipped by.

Well maybe if one of my fonts made a Smashing Magazine font list! JK :P
Ok I'll get around to it & sharing what other (little) type knoweledge I might be able to contribute as well.

Thanks for your reply. I cannot copy/paste your text and when I try pasting the Helvetica CV here it reformats!
I'm afraid I'm a total novice when it comes to knowing more than serif versus sans serif. (Though I read enough of the board to know I'd better steer clear of the evil Comic Sans ;-) I'm not sure what your "Linotype" reference means.
It does seem to me that your sample is narrower, however.
