Chipper is the work of British designer Andrew Smith, an adorably awkward typeface resembling the first printing of a child. Shaky lines and irregular forms combine for this naive look, which is completed by tiny specks surrounding each form as well as a number of illustrations. Chipper reflects an innocent fun and is perfect for children's greeting cards, certificates, or magazines and advertising for or about the little ones.

SlipperyFishes alternates two letter sets to create an undulating line of text that reminds me of a slippery fish. It resembles Undulate, another typeface that uses the OpenType feature of contextual alternatives (calt) to alternate letters, but while the tops and bottoms of letters in Undulate trace parallel paths, the tops and bottoms of letters in SlipperyFishes trace reflecting paths. SlipperyFishes is monospaced with tight letter spacing to accentuate the ripple pattern. The family has four members: regular, outlined, condensed, and condensed outlined. The outline styles that can be used in a layer with their base styles to add color.Slippery fishes is bizarre and weird and can be used in places where those attributes will create attention-grabbing lettering.

Tripper is a rock-hard display font family. The six styles – from Light to Black – of this robust stencil typeface will assure your text grabs all the attention it can get. Instead of settings large amount of texts, just use this font for a small amount of words. Or even better: just one word. But most importantly: make it really, really, really big. The lightest weight is pretty condensed, and slowly expands when the weight increases. The bridges – essential to a stencil font – have the same width across all styles, so you can safely apply all styles in the same size without the risk of stencils falling apart. Due to the absence of curves throughout the whole family, Tripper is suitable for more limited, industrial applications too. Tripper comes in several flavours. Pacific Clipper has its roots in an old 1930s showcard lettering style. An extra bold version of this sign painter’s relic is shown in Carl Holmes' wonderful book on lettering. It may be described as what happens when Rudolf Koch's Kabel Heavy meets ATF's Novel Gothic. Also known as Sam’s Tune, Pacific Clipper’s noteworthy features include wedged crossbars in the capital A, E, F, and H. Overcurving is present in the capital B, D, P, and R while vertical strokes in the lowercase b, d, h, k, l, and t are chopped off obliquely. Figures in Pacific Clipper are also refreshingly different, particularly the number 4. This lettering favorite turned retro typeface has been extended to include a variety of weights. Pacific Clipper is now available in the OpenType format. Some new characters have been added to this OpenType version as Stylistic Alternates and Historical Forms. These advanced features work in current versions of Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.

Sky Clipper JNL is a bold, Art Deco sans serif typeface derived from the hand lettered title on a 1940s-era “Big Little Book” entitled “Flying the Sky Clipper with Winsie Atkins”. The design is available in both regular and oblique versions. “Big Little Books” were published by the Whitman Publishing company and featured short stories printed in a tiny sized book format for young children.

Coupon Clipper JNL is a fun, playful, casual sans serif font that evokes some of the lighthearted typography of the late 50s and early 60s.

Zipper is a striking font designed in 1970 by Phillip Kelly for the Letraset dry transfer sheets and it shows itself as a true child of the 1970s. The most distinguishing characteristic is the markedly robust horizontal stroke, heavier by far than the verticals. In a line of text, the figures present a close, stripe-like line, strongly dominated by the horizontal. An undeniably Art Deco font with some unexpected twists and turns, this typeface is based on a design originally called "Dignity Roman", a product of the fevered imagination of the rather unconventional 30s lettering artist Alphonse E. After creating the all-caps version of Supper Club JNL, a conversation between Jeff Levine and fellow font designer Ray Larabie brought forth the idea that one of Ray's freeware fonts had a lower case that would perfectly fit Jeff's design. ITC Drycut is the work of Vancouver-based designer Serge Pichii and gives a twist to the tradition of heavy, woodcut-like typefaces. The font includes all the realistic features of a true woodcut, sharp edges, white cut marks and black slivers. The slivers around the edges suggest traces left after awkward movements of a knife, which are often visible on old woodcuts...Folk artists often didn't care much about refining their carvings and the slivers would have been left as long as the letters remained readable." The lower case alphabet is actually small caps proportioned to match the capitals. The letters of ITC Drycut have a slight slant to the right which lends the font a dynamic character."

Whoever knew the Red Menace could be such fun? This bold and bouncy face is based on a Cyrillic alphabet presented in the book Schrifti Alphabeti, published in the Soviet Union in 1979.
