That's the famous GillSans. Commercial. But widely available on the web.
Mea culpa! That was a bit too quick. Sorry. This is not the Gill. On first sight it looks a lot like it but in reality it is very different, 'e' and 'b'. I'll keep looking.

well, it's like this- do I spend an hour looking for a suitable stencil font or do I spend 10 minutes trimming a font I have?
Anyway, in reality stencils are normal fonts that are adapted for stenciling. - re: REALLY DIFFICULT ID

A simple solution that may help is when you create your Word Document there is a drop down dialog box for various font names (with Office XP comes a visual preview of the font). Next to that is the font size from usually 8 to 72. In 99% of cases simply type the required size in that small box and then press "ENTER". Voila! Your upsized font should be a reality now!!

I tried a demo of Corel Drawings a couple of years ago and didn't like it at all. It simply was not as flexible as what I have. We use Wilcom ES (Melco) , but my dream program would be Tajima Pulse. Unfortunately the bottom tier starts at like 9K and I'd need one of the top two tiers to do more than what I can do now.
I have not tried X3 though. I'll have to look into what it can do.
It might be worth the cost just to save me time punching fonts lol. Although in reality since most of what I do is either complex art or corporate logos I don't need a whole font face that often. I assume you can save DST files from X3 Drawings? - re: Please help me identify this font!
