Does this look like a custom made font? I've not been able to find it anywhere, so appreciate if anyone recognizes it..

I'm thinking that there's a very good chance that you're tired of hearing from me with my little projects. Each of these projects, though, means a great deal to me, and I thank you for all of the help you have given me thus far.
I don't blame you for not replying to my last post, it wasn't really worth replying to anyway. But I really need your help here. I'm going to be making what might be my last 'film' which will be based on the classic film, "The Godfather." You may or may not be familar with it, because I have no idea what films are released in Germany and what films you like to watch. It's really none of my business anyway. Back to business, though, I made a little picture that shows two examples of the font. I remember seeing the font before, but I have no idea where to find it now.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find this font and safely give me a link to it (a little Mission: Impossible humor). If you can find one with the hand holding the puppet as a letter or number or something like that, that'd be great, but my main concern is the actual text used for the words, "The Godfather." Thanks in advance for any help you can give me and thanks for all of the help you already have given me!

Ute is back!! Welcome home!
Looked for ages? Was made in '98. If you look at the character map you'll understand the name of the font. Lower case, upper case, the exclamation mark, the period and the figures. That's it. I'm pretty sure it was made for one purpose only and there was no need for more and/or other versions.

Well, Tami, I wasn't sure to post it here as the font Bernie looks at the first glance like an illegal clone of Bernhard condensed. But then I had a short discussion with Heron2001 and she made a closer look to this font. Quote: "Bernie is a font that someone scanned into a font program - and never cleaned up. The O and B are really funny - so many extra points that in small type, the holes look
filled in... This is definitely a case of you get what you pay for - and Big Jack didn't seem to want to pay for the font..." The most important thing comes in the end: "that font is so poorly made, she will get what she needs from it... headaches." (Feel free to edit or erase this, Jackie, if you want to)
So it's up to you, Tami, if you want to use the real one or a badly drawn and probably troublemaker-at-print-font.

Those are never the original design but copycats made after photos. And believe me, badly made.

Here's a font, made of trees, or, at least, bits of wood. Someone posted an antique specimen picture online, hoping it would get made into a scalable face. It did. Hope you all enjoy too.
I even added numerals, a 'J' and a modern 'U', (the old 'U' is still there as a 'V') along with some essential punctuation. This style is made for those big initial dropped capitals, or a short word. This is not for strings of lengthy text.
This font is released under the creative commons, so you are welcome to open it up, poke around in it, and add or modify the characters, if you are into that sort of thing.

Hey everybod-
Back I am, it's Saturday the 10th and after about three weeks of on-off-on-off time away I'm finally, firmly on home soil again. At least for a while, anyway.
So, your Thir13en Ghosts script. Unfortunately the VikingEye? (© 2003 Koeiekat) is by no means a perfect instrument, but I did come across somthing kinda similar to this (that's a very vague "kinda"), some kind of runic language script used round the rim of the CDs of a role-player from...1999?...called Silver and by Infogrames. However, I can't find a digital sample or, as it happens, make one myself (no scanner...maybe I should fix that), so this will only mean anything to the precious few who actually ever owned the game. And take part in this forum.
Therefore, as much as it pains me, I'm forced to draw the same conclusion as Kat: it's more than likely that it's a custom job, made exclusively for the film. And maybe it'll be released into the public domain one day. Who the hell knows.
Malfunctioningly,
-Třrnquist
