Thank you Ivan. Haven't realised the website until now (although there are some faces I recognise there which are also here on AF).
And - what a coincidence - the new MyFonts-Newsletter contains an interview with Ryoichi Tsunekawa the man behind Flat-It. It is obvious that Chris is now working in Japan. ;-)) - re: Flat-It

well that's part of the problem. The fonts are from the late 1990s to early 2000 (I think) and finding a sample is nearly impossible. I know back in the day you could find the evaluation versions at a few font archives but most of them are now closed. The only place that had them (and not all of them either) was Fancy For Fonts, a now (AFAIK) defunct archive in Japan.
BTW, the version you mentioned of Sideshow by Harold Lohner isn't the same one I'm looking for. Like I said, if I could provide a sample I would...
