1 matches view forum post #21604 uploaded image Hmmm okay, thank you. That about sums it up... A german magazine would like to use my font "LT Chickenhawk" and also publish a book using the font. I too designate my fonts free for personal use, I am not that interested in making any strictly for commercial use either. Thank you for your insight, I also have been requesting donation for commercial use of my fonts, I suppose that is what I will ask this "client" when I reply as well. Oh, they also requested I create an additional character, the "ß" character. I wouldn't be selling myself short doing this without asking any additional compensation, would I? I mean, fonting/web design/logo design etcetera is what I do... and I would love to see my font utilized in a mainstream fashion. Thank you again for your insight.

1 matches view forum post #10274 I won't give you an advice on this. Too complex. But get a deeper insight here: http://www.typophile.com/node/17236 or here: http://rosendorf.us/blogdorf/archive/2006/01/18/1456.aspx
1 matches view forum post #22061 Ahh Koeiekat, Thank you as always.. So there is not some font that I'm unable to find, then.. When you say "designed after most of the 'Swiss' types", do you mean to say that it's a newer version of Helvetica? I thought I was using Neue, but it's been so long since I installed Helvetica, that I could be wrong or have mixed something up. Thank you again for your insight :-)
1 matches view forum post #15614 Cheers KoeieKat. Especially insight on the abaddon font, Never knew it didn't contain a single kerning pair & the contours are all over the place. By the way I've managed to get the cheaper font: DINNeuzeitGrotesk-Light Not great But it'll Doooo. *throws Fish biscuits to Koeiekat* .......... actually my kat hates those fish buscuits...
1 matches view forum post #17771 Ivan - that is genius. Thank you for this tip! Koeiekat - I still think that is amazing that you can keep that many unique characters in your head. Taking you advice, I went through my entire collection and tried to find unique letters, then attempted to refer back to them. Sadly, this did not work. I am going to keep working on this, now that you've given me some great tips! Just one question. When you say you run a search "locally", what do you mean? Do you have a program that searches based on samples? I once found a shareware application along these lines (somewhere on download.com); however, I wasn't able to get it to work. Thank you all, again, for such great insight!
