I'm stumped! I've downloaded and unzipped some fonts and when I try to add a new font to the folder it won't show in the list...I've tried to drag it in and it says it's an invalid font...now what??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Alex! My Mac came with both OS 9.2 and OS X. I was thrilled when the font showed up in my font list on OS X, but frustrated when I couldn't get it to print. Thought I had to use it in Classic, only the font didn't show up in 9.2. Restarted again in OS X, took a chance and it finally printed. Am thrilled with this latest discovery of all these new fonts and the "ease" of using them (with your help, of course) now that the kinks have been worked out.

This is so frustrating. I can install the .ttf fonts alright, but no programs will recognise them (ie word, photoshop etc).
Is this a known problem with macs? I'm using system 8.6 on a powerbook.
The fonts that DO work don't have file extensions, what's the difference there?
Someone help a poor frustrated mac user!!
*whimper*
Thanks for any help...

Hello,
I'm new to the forum and am using photoshop with some templates I've acquired from a client. They want to use the fonts in the template however when I use photoshop to edit them it substitutes them with others that look nothing like it. The specific fonts its asking for are as follows:
font184
114
139
348
278
If anyone can help me get these and tell me how to load them up i'd be forever apprecaitive and also I have a server that I could give you access to with other goodies if you are so inclined. Hell at this point i'm so frustrated I'd even pay for a little help.
Thanks
digi

I think many of you were quietly frustrated with the poor display of the forum messages on the search page.
Well, you can loudly enjoy a much nicer and more powerful search, with image previews, keyword highlighting, etc...
For example searching the forum for "Stencil" produces this:

Any problems? Feedback? Let me know
