 I've never seen a PC version of the Techno. But I don't see the problem ... goto a friend with a Mac, make your logo there, save it as a hires image and go and start playing on your PC. Maybe your friend doesn't have the Techno, well buy it and convert it or ... see before.
Only a small logo? Type your text in myfont, copy paste and start playing. Only need something to give an impression of a logo design? try the PC fonts Globus or Slimania Bold or Tangerine. Not the same but a similar feel.

Much better. A dot over the i but at least the other letters are closer. If it were totally up to me, I'd go for it but will have to see if it's ok with my friend. Looks like I can get it for $24 - though not free, it's not a deal breaker. Thanks a lot for the suggestion.
I'll leave the solved at no for the time being, in case someone else comes up with something even closer, but will close it if my friend says that your suggestion is ok.

hi, I am the one who typeset the book.
Unfortunately no, that wasn't a font. They were images scanned and inserted one by one - in fact, until not long ago I had all the scanned images on a disc, but I'm afraid I don't anymore.
Sorry! I could try to get in touch with my friend who designed the book, who knows, she might have the source images somewhere.
