Hi-
This is almost certainly a hand-drawn graphic, be it digital or organic. If you look carefully, there are obvious differences between similar letters, i.e. the "s" and "p". Another big clue is that the "h" is linked into the adjacent "p", a characteristic which would be near-impossible to acheive with a digital typeset.
Of course it goes without saying that if anyone else knows different, they are welcome to put me right!!

Digibats..um..it's a word i just made up meaning dingbats made with photos from a digital camera.
"my scanner is wrecked. It's actually in bits, i thought i'd be able to fix it - i never put it back together again...anyway...what i'm getting at is that all of the images in the font were taken using my digital camera, it's all stuff in my house. Yeah, they're raw, they're lo-fi, but they have a purpose on this planet. backgrounds. layering. drop these dings at a slighly darker hue than your background then sprinkle your text on top. hey....don't listen to me..you can do what you like with them. expect more digital camera > crankin up mad contrast in photoshop then ramming it thru streamline and fontographer.....
it's got a kinda punky vibe, with the finger, sid, courtney, growler, the sneaker.......ok i'll cut to the chase....."

Does anyone else use this method for making fonts/dings? Or am i a freak.

Hello,
I need help identifying what the font used on the Philips Compact Disc Digital Audio logo is? Specifically the font that reads "Compact/Digital Audio" (not the DISC part of it). Anyone know?

Alan, what made you think that there was digital type in the 19 twenties?
Second, to see whether there is anything around that could be a copy of this please give us a pict that is not taken under an angle and is in focus. From this pict most anything is a gamble.

Wow, it's handy to know how to wave the digital wand :-D

Sans Light (Digital Typeface Corp. - 1991) seems to me a reasonable gamble.

Hm, why do you think this is digital? Every single O seems to be different. Either it is a very good worked opentype-font with lots of alternates or it is handmade. (Not so difficult as I think).
If you want something similar try Vertigo from fontoville, a font made based on the hitchcock-movieposter.

No. Yet for digital type, Yes. It is either photo lettering or Letraset/Mecanorma, I'll do some digging today.
