Chip 01 was originally designed for a high tech transparent anniversary telephone card, to give this card its own identity with a slight technological reference. Chip 02 is an adapted version with slightly increased legibility.

Inspired by the more than hundred years old classic Cooper Black, Chunk Black features a hefty character with rounded serifs and a soft yet sturdy overall appearance. Chunk Black provides a timeless and friendly feel and it’s very suitable for product and packaging design and any kind of display purposes from music business to restaurant menus and from t-shirts to band logos. Both Chunk Black and Chunk Black Italic are equipped with several OpenType -features and a total number of 87 alternate characters, set in Swash, Stylistic and Titling Alternates and Discretionary Ligatures.

Chipping is a brand new face inspired by Edwardian and 1920s letterforms. It's good for clear and legible headings which need a gentle and unobtrusive period touch, and is the latest is Greater Albion's line of faces to explore the 'small capitals' idea. You will see a broad similarity with our Chipperly family, and the two work well together in combined projects. Four faces are offered: regular and bold, as well as Black with a heavy drop shadow and white which explores the idea of 'whitespace' design.

Chunkie is a simple serif experiment going for minimal width and maximum height. I made it into my display version of OpenType Pro, but mainly it was a vehicle for me to try out some more extreme serif ideas and glyph shapes. The solutions for the lowercase a and e are unique, for example. The double g ligature is a fun solution. I like the solution for the @, but I’m not sure how it will be received. That being said, it turned into a useful dark display face with a small x-height.

Chuck. Designed in 2004 by Jim Parkinson. Originally released as a Type 1 font, Chuck was refreshed (version2) and re-released as simple Open Type in 2012. The models for this massive Deco typeface appear on a bronze plaque on the South Tower of the Golden Gate Bridge. The plaque commemorates the builders of the bridge.

Crunk was inspired by the creator's (at the time) teenaged hoodlum of a brother. The font Crunk is great for headlines and text and has served its creator well over the years since it was made.

Mr Chips is dependable and true, with recognizable shapes that make him a pleasure to read. He's a Clarendon, but without the bulkiness that makes Clarendons difficult in text. Mr Chips has character sets for Western Europe, Cyrillic, and monotonic Greek. He has a full set of true small caps for versatility and hierarchy, and some fun and functional ligatures. The name suggests it: the Chiq is based on a well-known system font from Apple's classic Mac OS operating system. By revamping and expanding good old “Chicago“, I want to make that 90s tech charm available for the future. The model consisted of just a single style and inspired me to create “Chiq Bold,” which later became the starting point for the entire font family. The shapes of the Chiq are constructed according to a very simple principle. The contrast of stems and hairlines becomes more pronounced towards the bolder cuts. A few basic shapes form the framework for all characters. The shapes are very regular and sometimes form somewhat unusual figures, which has a negative effect on readability and makes the font rather unsuitable for long passages of text, but results in a very even typeface. This is particularly true for the extra-wide “UltraExpanded,” which is so wide that you can no longer recognize word images but literally have to spell them out. In this way, words are turned into letter bands with a great decorative effect. With variants from “Light” to “Black”, from “Normal” to “Ultra Expanded” and the italics, Chiq reaches beyond its archetype. This opens up a wide range of uses. It is even clearer, even more sober, and to a certain extent speaks an even more modern formal language. Chiq is also a variable font!

Clip is a display typeface inspired by the shape of a paperclip, but it’s not designed with the usual minimalistic modular approach. Inspired by an old matchbook which read: "Chop Suey: Finest Chinese and American Cooking". Chop Chop recreates that matchbook printed feel with soft rounded edges on what one would normally expect to be a sharp and pointy typeface. Charlemagne, one of the great rulers of the Middle Ages, was instrumental in the reestablishment of formal education in the West. This font was inspired by the notion that he felt the need to protect his communications from people with the ability to read; a rare skill then. Did he really command such a script to exist? He did instigate the development Carolingian minuscule script. Here are two different systems that are both attributed to him. Does it provide any real security? No, but it is fun to think about how such a system might have been used.
