Here's a tricky one. It's the title text of a painting/map from around 1700 in Sweden.

This exact font does probably not exist but does anyone know of a similar one? Mynaruse isn't too far off, but a font with the unique "thorns" on the W and/or the E would be preferred.

Something like the JSL Ancient? Or the Antiquarian?

Perfect old style fonts... I'll pass that info on to my friend. Any thoughts on one that isn't made to look old in itself? If you know what I mean...

These weren't made to look old but are digitized scans from old tekst from that moment in time. Nevertheless, have a look at the Cochin-Archaic and the Nicolas Cochin Black.
