Hi,
It's a typical typeface used in primary school books (primers) from the USA (and Canada?). The US-english term should be "primer font".
These typefaces are distantly related to Paul Renner's Futura, not Arno Drescher's Super Grotesk. The closest one I found is:
OkayText by Luke William Turvey:

This commercial typeface looks very close!
Se also other primer fonts:
Print Clearly OT by Unknown:

Primer Print by Ray Larabie:

FC Basic Font by Unknown:

Didact Gothic by Daniel Johnson:

Bye bye
Close but not quite. The "y" I'm looking for has a round descender, not a straight one. Other than that, Primer Print is close except for the size of the "b" and "d" circle.
I've found it! I've uploaded it onto the site under "Teacher's Pet" and it is just pending approval.
I got it from a friend of a friend after a hell of a search myself!
Enjoy!
Hi all
I am a BEd Foundation Phase teacher and am also struggling to get hold of the font as described by gregashleycooper. I_jacobs I searched this site for your font. Has it ever been approved?
Any help or advice will be appreciated greatly

I'm looking for a font that I have been told is Teacher's Pet, but search results show something completely different to what I've got. Either it is a custom font or has changed names since. Whatthefont gives Skyler, Super Grotesk and Sign as matches, but none of them are close enough.
