Hi,
this is no real font. Look at the shapes of the capital S. They differ from letter to letter. It's a ,,normal'' typeface blurred/distorted by hand. The typeface might be Hanseatic/Swiss 924 BT or Helvetica Inserat UltraCompressed
You can try Steelfish Bold if you don't need 100% accuracy :
http://www.abstractfonts.com/font/3815?text=DEAD%20MAN'S%20SHOES
Just a few words about the blur (with Inkscape):
* write the text
* vectorize the text to splines
* add nodes to the splines
* add a random displacment
Bye bye
Hi,
just noticed: The inkscape function path->outset will fatten a typeface and have the same effects like the modification of the corners. This should be the easiest way:
* select a little bit lighter typeface/font
* type in the text
* select the text
* path -> outset (expand the path)
But you have to play around with the settings and the selection of the typeface. The Swiss 924 in this example is to fat.
Bye bye
Hi there,
I'm recreating the poster for 'Dead Man's Shoes' for a college project and ideally want to do everything from scratch, so the font would be useful!
Thanks in advance!
