Anyone knows what is this font? Looks like Arial rounded, but I can't find it.

Hi,

Geometric 231 is Kabel (Rudolf Koch).
Kabel is the german word for cable.
http://www.identifont.com/list?2+Kabel+1+O3+329+1ZA+239+N33+56+272+0+6F6+0+N1Y+0+N5C+0

ITC-Kabel has a much bigger x-height. For
further informations see the link and try:

http://moorstation.org/Koch_Memorial/index.htm

Its german, but just look at the pictures ...

But the shown typeface is neither rounded
nor any kind of Kabel or other 1920 german
grotesk (gothic) typeface. But the typeface
is very close to helvetica with a little
bit of other influenzen (Barmeno and/or
Kabel?). But its not close to Arial, see
the angle of cutting the letters. (sorry
for may bad english)

Thank you both, but it doesn't seem to be the font i'm looking for. The characters seem to be shorter.

Hello,

you have to look for a crippled Helvetica, not
for a rounded Arial. Or you can cripple a
vektorized Helvetica by your own if you need
only a few letters.

Apart from the s and o the sample has little to nothing to do with helvetica or arial.
What makes this one unique is the extremely large x-height and the semi-rounded top of the stems.
To find one like this I would have to dig through the whole lot which will take - alas - too much time. Yet, if I stumble upon it I'll let you know.

Hi,

Air Berlin use a typeface that looks
similar. I just noticed it today and
found a posting in a german fontblog:

http://www.fontblog.de/neues-corporate-design-bei-air-berlin

Have a look at the diverent typefaces of
the chalet family from house industries:

http://www.houseind.com/fonts/chalet

look at the 1970s, notice the wrong s and
look at the 1960s for the right s. It might
be a starting point.

Btw: Someone else noticed the similarity
to Helvetica too. The 1960s style tend a
little bit to Helvetica.

Bye Bye

Still no match but it has some of the characteristics like the semi-rounded top: Foco Bold (Designed by Fabio Ruiz Haag, Foco Design).
