Hello,

My first question is about renaming fonts. Is it possible to rename them to something more easily identifiable to me? I'm aware of software that can rename the font file name but it doesn't allow me to choose a name that I'd like.

Next is about grouping fonts. I'd like to be able to sort my fonts into groups so that while I'm in an application and scrolling through my fonts, all of the dingbats (for example) are all together.

Lastly, is there a way to load fonts temporarily so that I don't have all of my fonts loaded when I boot up my PC? In other words, something like an as needed feature.

Or perhaps maybe I should store my fonts in a location other than the Windows Fonts folder and install and uninstall them as I need them.

The pain about that is that I'll have to have a font manager open to view, choose, install, and then uninstall the font, and then go back to the application that I want to use the font in, and maybe have to restart that.

I've tried out several different font managers and right now I'm thinking that NexusFont may be the one for me but I'm open to opinions from others about other font managers.

I'm using Vista and I just got that a week ago (my other PC failed) so the font manager needs to be freeware for now for obvious reasons.

Thanks for reading.
