Looks too much handcrafted, so I doubt this is a font. Maybe someone somewhere digitized it, but this exact image shows a hand job.
Mumble mumble ... the As are the same.
Have no idea where this came from but if it came from an old poster it was possibly hand drawn. But doesn't it resemble Dan Solo's recreation of a type he named Alex?
koeiekat: Thanks for the lead. Did find the same font on the cover of "Art Deco Display Alphabets" (Dover Pictorial Archive Series) (Paperback) by Dan X. Solo (Author). BUT have not been able to find font named "Alex" you cite. If no further leads I will buy the book to get further info.
