Not a font, Danny. Definitely not a font.
The Sporting News started with a title font based on the classical English Gothic type, like many - MANY - newspapers. And many still use such a type:
The title type got a facelift (I don't know when) maintaining the Gothic feeling:
The latest type still maintains some of this second type. The S, the tail of the g, the N and the s, and also the ti and the diamond cut off of the stems.
Now, where did the designer of the revamp of this title find his/her inspiration?
The Impakt?
Nothing similar around I'm afraid.
Anybody knows the font used in the SportingNews logo?
Or also if you know any font that is similar.
Thanks.
